I'm aware of the update notes when upgrading the software version from 3.60 -> 3.90.
I'm also aware that version 3.80 of the nuvi 7X5 software was a factory-installed release which never made it to the Webupdater software.
Having said that (/nod to Larry David) does anyone know specifically what is changed in the software when updating from v3.80 -> v3.90? In other words, which of the aforementioned software changes are attributed to the 3.80 version, and which are implemented when going from v3.80 -> v3.90?
Thanks in advance, Jeff |

1) Thanks, Jeff, I hadn't noticed the differences in the version numbers under discussion. While I can't report what the differences are between 3.80 and 3.90, I can report that the update went smoothly from 3.80 to 3.90. 2) Unfortunately, this update doesn't entirely correct the pauses in the reading of audio books (and, I presume, MP3s as others have reported) although they do seem far less frequent (perhaps just wishful thinking (or wishful listening)).

Welcome Jeff, since 3.80 was a non public release we'd know of no place where the change log would be listed, other than deep withing the bowels of Garmin :-) |

Ah, if only wishes were horses . . . After riding around a bit, I find the audiobook pauses have not let up at all in this new release. Ah well.

The Bluetooth handsfree in version 3.8 is rubbish, echo, dropouts, etc, not usable! - has anyone noticed an improvement in version 3.9? |

For some strange reason webupdater is not able to see my Nüvi 765, hence I can not upgrade to 3.90. I have tried three different PC, Win 7 and XP (it has worked before)
Can some mail me the GUPDATE.GCD that is located on the GPS in \Garmin folder (after upgraded to 3.90) This way I can copy the file to the GPS, and it should upgrade it self after next reboot.
Edit: I do see both internal and external storage as disk in my PC. Have also upgraded to latest Garmin USB driver (not sure if needed, since it is used in disk mode)
Edit2: Case solved. I did try to set GPS in diag modus (battery icon). Webupdater then did see the GPS and I did try to upgrade, but got an error message that downloaded file was corrupted. Then I did try an old recovery made by Wider to recover corrupted files using rgn file and updater.exe. This worked fine, and after reboot, webupdater did see my 765 as it should and I did update to 3.90 without more problems. |

Tanks, but as you see case closed.
Hidden track log has also change. (If I remember correct) Only the print screen button shows on the map page. No option too run it off without going into the hidden page again.

I've checked hidden track log. It is working fine after upgrading to 3.90 BTW there was ONLY screenshot button visible on the map page when tracklog was enabled (in previous versions). |

| The stop/start buttons for track logs has disappeared on the 7xx and 1xxx models with there latest firmware updates as well. The hidden track logging still works but the screen with the buttons seems to be gone. |

I have found two difference compare to 3.60 Time to GPS get ready has been reduced by 50%. If you have large maps like Topo and CN, it does now take less time to start. Map priority seem now to be corrected. Topo with lower priority number are now drawn correctly on topo of CN with higher priority. |

| The traffic feature reporting has been improved in 3.90. When traffic has not been updated for a period of time, the traffic icon (green/yellow/red) will now turn to a gray/blue color. Also, pressing the traffic icon and going to the traffic page will now show the traffic status, like the 1xxx series does...up to date, or no reception for xx minutes. |
