ablbd, Is good to know that, playing with the wrong OS, is not 100% safe? Can you estimate ... you had one fail of 10 ... 100 ... 1000 ? Can we have some probabilistic numbers regarding this problem? It is known that (theoretically) from OS you can write in flash anywhere (the bootloader can't stop you ...) if you know the right Kernel_IO API function parameters ... |

g_alin, I made tests with a moov310 and a moov330. OS's were more or less compatible from moov300 to moov370 and replacing bootloader I flased also S50 and S55 OS too. All worked but except the right one I had no sound. Also some other functions may have not worked (BT, TMC, so) but I didn't checked all details. If you want an estimation, in my case happened once to 20. If I would have flashed boot blocks for that particular moov330R2, is possible that it would have worked up to a point, maybe again no sound etc.
Jonatan82 I have not much experience with 320x240 devices, anyhow I made winceimg's from your dump, try it http://www.4shared.com/file/Yjos7fOx/Moov_200_Cobia_300_32_V1000025.html , |

Don't understand your question.
"guys, that h-jtag program works with j-tag USB Segger J-Link?"
Why do you "dilute" this topic when the answer is right under your nose? Have you read the files in hjtag\doc?? |

g_alin!
I done with the upgrade, I see my devince from windows :-)
BUT, my problem is:
I put every - old/backuped files to the Flash Drive. The Spirit software run fine, but It doesn't see any GPS satellites. (only the Time/Date synchronization is work) (I tried this thing with IGO Primo. The sitauation is same. Only Time/date. IGO draw the satelittes, but all of them are red)
And of course, If I put any type of SD into the device i has got a blue screen...
My questions are: - May be some connection between the Blue screen and the GPS satellite "Blindness"? - How can I deactivate Blue Screen Mode? (I Have Spirit 501)
THANKS: VSubaru |

I tried all possible h-jtag on My mio M300. each time only a black screen. I decided to desolder the memory of working M300. I have programmer wellon Vp-990. Desoldering working flash K9GAG08. is listed as the programmer. Copied and veryfing read. Dump have 2.06 GB http://wgrajfoto.pl/pokazfoto/img0211/m300dumpfullmemoryfb1e.jpg
Desoldering flash in M300 (black screen). Formating in programmer this memory. And write dump . it took over ca. 43min. and veryfing this same time. And soldering this flash to "damaged" m300 and now working perfectly!!!! so my case I think it is unfortunate closed :) =============================================================================================================================
Now new device on my table. Medion E4135 . motherboard is very similar to Mio. Problem: device is with me for many months because the device is set up password. To be clear, the device is legal and have the customer purchase receipt!. I have connect to medion (memory K9GAG08 / label COBIA 400D2 WWE R03 2G 8944) Read Block=16 Page=0 to Block=16 Page=127 (@ablbd thx) and reading in hex, and replace LOCKEDUT toUNLOCKED and save in the same place. Ofcourse when i connect usb cable, first screen its Blue Screen :) I need update firmware for this model. I admit that I am interested in where you saved the password?
@g_alin @ablbd I would not want to be misunderstood. Engaged in navigation for many years, but until now was leading brand tomtom, garmin, vdo (oryginally in auto) service, just starting the mio, navman, etc service. (pna/wince/j-tag)
If you have any questions about the tomtom very keen I'll help. Ofcourse hardware
Sorry for my english :)

jonatan82, I think the firmware extracted by ablbd (http://www.4shared.com/file/Yjos7fOx/Moov_200_Cobia_300_32_V1000025.html) will work. If you have any problems with that firmware let us know ... and we try other formats.
vsubaru, "- May be some connection between the Blue screen and the GPS satellite "Blindness"?" No. Blue screen is a 'small' software that gives you the option to write a firmware into your flash. GPS is something related to a serial connection (also called GPS serial connection) that give you (usually) NMEA informations "- How can I deactivate Blue Screen Mode? (I Have Spirit 501)" On the first page (http://www.4shared.com/file/cvkc5b2z/UPGRADE_MIO_11Jun10.html ) there is a software that is able to unlock UPGRADE SCREEN (to change your firmware ...). If you insert the SDCard and the software doesn't start automatically ... you have to unlock your device (with any unlock procedure you want) and start manually 'YOUR_SD_CARD'\UPGRADE\w_coredll\cUPGRADE_APP_.exe if doesn't work try 'YOUR_SD_CARD'\UPGRADE\wo_coredll\UPGRADE_APP_.exe Same software can be used to lock your UPGRADE SCREEN |

First of all: Thanks your reply!
Have you any idea why the GPS doesn't work correctly? I copied all the data to the Flash Disk what I backuped before started the firmware upgrading procedure, but it was unsucessfull. I tried both ROM (mio S501 NA, and mio s505 EU, in both cases the GPS didn't work correctly. Strange that the GPS time synchronization is working, but the satellites only viewable, don't usable...
Have you any suggestion for me?
