white_flag, (after hardware reset) can you check (with TRE) the settings: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH (to see if you have the new - updated - settings)

g_alin those are the settings
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH] "CalibrationData"="994,540 384,728 380,352 1617,352 1608,732 " "DriverName"="s3c2450_restouch.dll" "MaxCalError"=dword:00000007(7) one more question:
Wen I start the device with SD card inside I have all the time the blus screen for firmware update. How can I remove this?I do not have any original software from mio, just the "MioPocket Mini 4.0 Release 2" thx |

white_flag, I am confused: why if I changed the registry settings in firmware behaves differently AND if you use Calibration it works ... In the package: UPGRADE_MIO_11Jun10.zip you can find cUPGRADE_APP_.exe. Start it again and choose: SuperUser for Moov series and NormalUser to C series. Anyway I would recommend you to left that UPGRADE Screen open (there where some cases when the flash was corrupted and the GPS was stack in the orange screen ... ) |

Greetings! I have MIO moov 330, cobia 410. After turning it on I see only black screen and nothing happens. connecting pin 9 to GND doesnt work too, so i have made jtag cable, and i can see my device in h-jtag. So I think there is a bad boot in it. Can anybody read boot from working mio 330 and post here, please? |

@TeXniKK Depends on the nand type you have inside. I am in the same situation. Somebody gave me boot blocks but donor device had k9gag08 nand, which is NOT compatible with mine (k9lag08). Soon I'll get dumps from other 2 devices...
PS: "Standard" h-jtag drivers will not write/erase blocks and will not generate ECC, so I made for both types special drivers which are working fine. |

@ablbd Wow! I have K9GAG08UOM too. Can you give me boot blocks for this flash? For writing memory i use SJF2443_Mio.exe. |

Ok, here it is http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C5BPEAUV Avoid sjf_mio because I don't know how is writing ECC in the spare area. You'll find the modified hjtag driver+definition file, copy them in the right places and use this one. Shoud work faster (<2min for 1MB written data) and ECC is according the dumped model. After finishes, insert any SD and reset (OFF->ON) the device, it should enter into blue screen. Let me know the result.
PS: hjtag driver was not previously tested, I don't have device with k9gag08 nand. If you encounter any problems, please report that too. |

Dear people, I also deleted WIN CE OS 4.2 Core on my Mio C510 trying to upgrade it from it's bios, can't install it's driver to upgrade it from DVD that I downloaded and the only solution is to upgrade it from SD card. My actual version is UTool S2x0_F R30 512MB, I copy winceimg.bin and winceimg.cks on SD card (in root, ofcourse, nothing else is on the card) and try WINCE by SD/MMC option and nothing happens, my C510 freezes and the blue screen stays until I turn it off "hard". All I want is to get it's win ce working again. Or any other version of it, just I want it back. Also tell me is it the right way to upgrade it (only these two winceimg files in root) or there's something more? I read something about unlocking this bin file, maybe I should unlock and copy these files to root. Which unlocking tool to use then?
I would really appreciate your help, until that I'm afraid my C510 is unusable:(
Thank you |

jk0ka: did you try: Connect usb to moov and pc Then switch to Reset and then to ON Now (normal) a working connection will be the result. If not then try with empty battery the same.
Good luck |

@ablbd Well, I tryed this method, but without success.. After i added driver to h-flasher and scanned my device, it said that i have wrong flash id. Then i disabled flash id checking and successfully flashed my device with file, you gave me, but than i have black screen too. after that i flashed full image "Moov330 SmartST (Cobia_410_64 v5.50.0208) SMFlash_0_26214400.img", but have same result too.. |
