Strange. I am still not getting notified of the update to the US version. I only get notified that the European version has changed.

When I go to the App Store on iTunes it says the US & Can version was released on July 10, thus it is version 1.6. I am accessing the store in the US.

Where did you get your update, Paul?

Enrique,
The Navigon updates to v1.7 shown in the App Store are only available for the US regions (East, Central and West)at this time. No mention is given when the US and or Europe versions will receive their updates to v1.7.

I got notification of the European version and have started downloading it. I also have the US & Canada version that hopefully will come soon.

In the US app store, most versions seem to be from December 15 or 16, except for the USA and the USA & Canada packages that are still dated in July and August.

Yes, I believe the date of December 15,16 was the date that the upgrade was first available at the App Store. It certainly was the first mention of the upgrade on the Engadget site[ed]

It doesn't seem to say. Just gives a copyright date of 2010 for the map data.

I have asked this before, last update, since I am new to Navigon just coming over from over from the TomTom side of the water. Does anyone know were I can get a manual for the iPhone version (even if old and not USA) just to learn a little about what is what and were is what. As I said before, thank you gps passion, playing with it is nice but a little to read would be great. Over all first impressions is that this version 1.7, has it over TomTom 1.6.
Is there a setting to apply auto zoom, or is it automatic?
Is there a way to show just the traffic on the route selected?
What is the best way to view future (up coming) traffic issues on the route selected. And can it be viewed on the route map, other than a sybol like in TomTom?
Thanks to any and all who reply and Seasons Greetings to all.

So I updated my GPS software on my iPhone 4 a few days ago, and now it doesn't work. I paid $45 for this back in September, and it worked great all the way up until now. It won't let me search any locations, and every time I try to search one of my recent locations I get an error message that says, "Unable to start navigation. Your current position is not covered by any of the available maps."

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone has any idea at all what is wrong. I've tried to google this in several different ways today, but haven't had any luck.

I don't know what is the problem with your iPhone 4, but I was able to upgrade without any problems on my iPhone 3GS and iPad 3G.

Have you tried uninstalling the app on the phone and then syncing again?

No problem with my upgrade. Actually battle tested with flying colors during this terrible East Coast blizzard.

Can anyone confirm that Panoramic View is working properly? I upgraded my software from 1.6 to 1.7 and now the Panoramic view doesn't work. Regular 3-D view works, but Panoramic doesn't. I'm running iOS4.2.1 (not-jailbroken). Thanks in advance.

Panoramic view and traffic work for me but I went through the in-app purchase process again. You go to Extras and then click on Restore Purchases.

Thanks Enrique. I'll uninstall and re-install. I'm concerned that I may lose my favorites if I uninstall (which is why I wanted to make sure Pano works in 1.7 before I uninstall). Thanks again.

I did not uninstall. iTunes notified me there was an upgrade to the app and I let it download the new version. After I synched my iPhone (and my iPad), the app remembered my recents and things like that (I don't use favorites). I had to then go into the Extras section and restore my purchases to enable Panorama and Traffic. I don't know what will happen if you totally uninstall and install fresh.

Without the restore purchases from within Navigon, Panorama was not an option.
