i have these dc ports/jacks available if anyone needs any for there magellan
Don't throw or give away your Roadmate or Maestro away just because its not charging.
If your GPS is not charging, or will not start up with an adapter, this is most
likely the cause.
new dc power port, jack, connector to replace your broken power port on
your Magellan Maestro or Roadmate..2000 2200t 2500 3100 3140 4000 4040 4050
it may also fit other models.
I can also help you in repairing your gps if your not able. just email me

| Hey, it looks like you are the resident expert on magellan DC jack failure. My brother gave me his maestro 4000 with a shattered yellow DC jack port. I wanted to make sure this was the problem before I bought a new jack from you. I was wondering if you knew what each of the 4 soldering points connect to on the port. I know the back two connect to the male/female leads on the jack, but how are the front two connected (the ones closest to the edge)? It seems like they are both grounded, which connect to each other, but I am not sure. Thank you so much, like I said, I just want to make sure this is the problem before I buy a new yellow DC jack. thanks, -Rick |

I am looking for the DC power port for the Magellan Maestro 3140 GPS that you are describing in your post. Are they still available for sale? If so how much are you charging?

Hi,
I really need a dc port for my Magellan Maestro 3100 GPS and some advice on how to replace. Do I have to solder the port in? I've done it before on an electric shaver!

do you have these dc adapters? if not where can i purchase one. Had a cold solder joint and the adapter was lost. Honestly my wife threw it away arghhhh
