SergZak,
Hey.. THANK YOU for putting togeather that list. You are definately on top of things in the Garmin world.
I posted somewhere else and I know you responded... but I am updating a freinds nuvi 780 and there is no specific link for the firmware updtaes on the 780 and I sould/could use the 760 updated instead.
But will that "update" also perform the updates to the MSN GDB 50 receiver as necessary ?
Thanks for you help. |

@ pratzert
If you can, just run WebUpdater. It will update the 780 as well as the MSN GDB 50.
If you want to use the direct update method (no WebUpdater/offline), download/use the update for the 760 instead. This will NOT update the GDB 50.
If you want to update the GDB 50 offline (if it's firmware is below the current v3.30), click on the GDB 50 link in the list above. From your browser, select View/Page Source. Read the text at the top for instructions on how to update using the region file method.
I've updated the link list to reflect that a specific 780 download is not available. |

@ THung
I also noticed that when I was trying to reference the changelog for the 7x5 to see what the updates were since v2.50.
They have also disabled any 7x5 series firmware updates via WebUpdater (you are not even given the option to re-install the same version).
EDIT: The link has been re-enabled since the release of v4.60 a couple of weeks ago.

| Garmin often releases a firmware version to manufacturing that don't make it to Webupdater. A search of the forum will find many threads and posts dealing with this. The upside is that a Webupdater release normally comes along pretty quickly after we start to see a manufactures release so keep an eye open for release 3.90 or 4.00. |
