Update seems to have gone ok - hopefully it will fix the random shutdown problems on 2.30 and 2.50.
the internal speaker volume seems to have been reduced
In the systems settings sabout creen It seems to have added a software version screen that wasn't present in 2.30. Mine lists GPS -3.00 and DSP 2.30
What does the VIB support and DSP software enhance / add/ correct? |

Updated my 765T, it did not in anyway reduce the volume, it might be a bit louder, it is at least the same. Had no problems downloading except it deleted my routes that came from Mapquest. Just had to go to mystuff folder again and re add them.
Using bluetooth, the phone volume is louder. |

Software update 3.0 Firmware Update for GDBxx MSN Direct Receiver v3.20 nuvi 7x5 DSP Software nuvi 7x5 Help Files nuvi 7x5 Translation Files
Updated all above successfully, but have not tried it out yet. But somehow after the installaton, both WebUpdater and Mapsource could not recognize my 765 any longer. When I click find device, got the following message:
"Some devices were found; however, none have the necessary capabilities. Please make sure your device is connected to the computer and turned on, then try again. You may also need to set interface option on your GPS to 'Garmin' or 'Host'".
Any help much appreciated.

Thanks tampa8. A friend of mine with 755 initially encountered the same but solved the problem through a reset. For me (765), have done many thinkable ways including your suggestion but still both mapsource and webupdater could not recognize the device till now...
(Latest: Solved the problem after a hard-reset. Thanks) |

It has definitely reduced the internal speaker volume
The Ecoroute seems to have full functionality as I could set up the fuel rate and profile for my car which then calculated the fuel cost - the trip info screen has been changed to include a fuel cost box |

Make sure the volume level including in the mixer did not get changed, and if you did not already, do a reset. My US version is definitely as loud if not louder especially when on car power. On battery or running off the USB port I may hear no difference. |

| Tried that too. For me the volume shows at 70% but sounds more like 40%. Everything else about the update seems to work fine. |

@ BAVC10
Note that there are two different volume levels, one for externally powered and one for battery powered. Although the volume level indicator itself does not change between the two different volume levels, there is a definite difference between the two. Battery powered level seem to be about 30-40% lower than the external powered level.
If you have been running off the battery and have not yet plugged into external power to verify the volume level, this may very well be your problem. |

| I didn't know until today that the Nuvi 7x5 series has a Linux based OS. With the AVRCP bluetooth profile being added, do you think Garmin could add voice recognition and compatibility with that bluetooth remote that comes with the 8x5 series? |

Don't have a 765 handy and my 255 is "looping" after updating to the lastest version...could you post screenshots of the new ecoRoute screens? |

Interesting, so it must be hackable. I thought it was based on open source clone of MS-DOS. How do you know that nuvi's are Linux based? |
