RE: To Post a Picture or a file in a forum

- Please limit large pic to 640x480 per picture
- If you have screenshot in .bmp format, convert it to .png or .gif to reduce its weight, there are free online tools like this one : http://www.lunapic.com/editor/
- Can be used to share a file too, .zip for instance
- Remove spaces for the code to work!
- put your UserID in the filename to prevent the file from being erased by another user using the same filename, e.g. : gpspassion_gps_1.jpg

1. Send your picture here: http://www.gpspassion.com/_safileup1e.asp
2. Picture will be in http://www.gpspassion.com/upload2/xyz.jpg
3. You can link it with this code (remove the blanks)

Mike, if something doesn't work only Guillaume (a.k.a. gpspassion) can fix it. He is the site owner. I just participate here, just like you and others.

Thank you for the attention to my post. I replaced the PhotoBucket URL with the one you provided in the post in question and it worked fine.

For next time; when and how is nickname inserted and I see that you changed the '\'s in the code provided to '/'s to make the URL work, is that something that I would need to do?

Yes, as per step 3 above, all you need to do is add the name of your picture (xyz.jpg) to the default path: http://www.gpspassion.com/upload2/ so that would be :

http://www.gpspassion.com/upload2/xyz.jpg

The UserID need to be typed in on your computer when before you send the file.

Please stick to the 640x480 max format too so that the pages don't get stretched, if you need to post a larger picture, use the "clickable" code.
