Tried searching site but havn't found anything.
I have a Nuvi 200w, I followed one of the post early on how to change gpx to cvs and download to my unit. My question now is I have all these waypoints that I got with out names and not sure how to edit them to add names. I also need to be able to figure out what the cordinates are of these poi's. These are waypoints from a desert race/mile markers. I need to be able to go in and assign names to them. Any help.

If you have the csv file on your PC, what about a program like POIedit (http://www.poiedit.com/ ). You can load the csv file into it and in my case all of the waypoints show a co-ordinate. You can highlight each entry and edit the name as well. Once your finished with your edits you need a program like POIloader (http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/ )to send them back to the Nuvi.

POIEdit will also open GPX files and just about any other file type you can think of.

There may also be some programs that folks here have created, I haven't looked however.

The poiedit work great for showing me all the co-ordites, but I could seem to figure out how to change the name of them and only save the ones I need.

To change the name, click on the name of the one you want to change. This opens up an input field at the top of the screen to the left to the N and W co-ordinates. Type in your new name there. Then click the original entry name again and the new name will appear there.

To delete the entries you don't want, just right click the entry and select Delete from the menu that appears.

Once you have all the ones you don't want deleted and have changed the name of all the ones you do want just do a File - Save As to save the file with what ever name you want. Make sure to select the type of file from the drop down list below the file name input field, GPX or CSV.

Then use POIloader to upload the file to your Nuvi. They should appear as Custom POI's. By default POIloader will upload a file that overwrites the file that currently contains any Custom POI's you have. Check out our FAQ for threads that deal with how to prevent this.
