I tested my MIO Moov 200 and replace AppStartupSec.exe executable with my benchmark program. Bad idea, I know Now I have no USB connection with my computer. I tried go back to original system by totally discharging the battery - it didn't work. I am afraid that only possibility is to re-load Cobia system from SD card. Does anybody know the structure of files to copy into SD card? I tried many possibilities, but no one worked. I suppose that right files are on DVD supplied with MIO device in the folder \Install\MioMoreDesktop\Packages
Any idea, please? Thanks... |

| The folder on the SD card should be named Cobia_300_32 for your device. When you insert the SD card, it'll try to run Auto.exe in that folder, so make sure that the program/unlock that you want to run has that filename. For example, you might rename a file browser (like FileMan) as Auto.exe and, then, when it runs, use it to rename your AppStartupSec.exe back. |

Thanks for your help Osprey, I tried procedure described by you. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I copied my WinCE file manager as SD/Cobia_300_32/Auto.exe, switched-on the device and plugged-in the Card (new 2GB A-data). Nothing happend :-(
Before my tests I copied all the content of MIO device to my HD. Here I found the configuration file "device.xml" ------------------------------------------------ <device> <kernel> <version>1.00.0025</version> </kernel> <bootloader> <version>R01</version> <checksum>23997914</checksum> </bootloader> <hardware> <type>Cobia_300_32</type> <displayname>Mio</displayname> <version>-1</version> <id>9CB038DC7A347C11080000022AC1FC92</id> </hardware> <sku> <projectcode>N177</projectcode> <skuid>9873</skuid> <mapversion>MireoCEU@0804</mapversion> <mapregion>CEU</mapregion> </sku> <processor> <type>ARM</type> <level>ARM version 4</level> <revision>00000000</revision> </processor> <os> <version>00050000</version> </os> <memory> <size>0x2000000</size> </memory> <storage> <size>0x20000000</size> <type>0x130342</type> </storage> </device> ------------------------------------------------
Can you find some useful info in this file?
Thanks, Filip |

| Can you access your flash drive and sd card from your device? If so just copy the backup appstartupsec.exe that you created on your sd over the one you edited. |

| Yes, I tried it. Mio Pocket can not connect to device, because its USB driver is not present (after replacing of AppStartupSec.exe). I think, that there is only one solution - re-flash BIOS of Mio Moov 200 by card. In my opinion manufacturer must be able to do the same operation. |

Here I've read something about shortening of two pins, but the procedure wasn't so clear. I opened the case (there are 2 little screws). I saw the switch on the top of device (the switch for RESET/OFF/ON). There are 4 pins (space between pins 3 and 4 is more than space between pins 1 and 2 , or 3 and 4) With the USB cable connected to PC, the switch on the position OFF, I've shortened pins 1 and 2 using a coin of 50 Cents, nothing changed. probably by mistake I shortened also the pins 2 and 3 (those distanced) and after a few seconds , the PC found a new Hardware. I've waited for a few seconds, the flash of moov200 received a letter in my computer, I've renamed the folder with IGO and than restored the original name for the folder with the GOOD miomap. After disconnecting the cable, the device loaded again the original software from the flash memory.
If you have any questions, I will try to answer. Have a nice day.
Goes to me! Thank's |

HI ,
I have the same problem and I`m trying this procedure but when the switch is off nthing happens , when the switch is on there is short "new hardware detection" but then I get USB error 10.
could you please elaborate what exactly you did :
1. are you sure switch was of. 2. pin 1-2 = in front of the "off" position or the other 2 ? 3. how many time you short the pins ? 4. do you need the combination ( 1-2 + 3-4) or just short the right pins. 5. how exactly you shrt the pins ? ( just put coin on it ? )
Thanks , I need this help.
