Hi
New firmware for 2x5, version 3.10
Got this from Garmins homepage:
Changes made from version 2.80 to 3.10:
Fixed a bug that would cause Panoramio photos favorites to reappear after deleting.
Fixed a bug that caused the proximity alert setup page to display incorrectly.
Fixed the display of safety cameras on the map page to fit inside the allotted space.
Corrected the display of distance to next turn when German was the selected language.
Fixed next turn and route overview maps from resetting their zoom level and position intermittently.
Added support for MSN Direct (requires GDB55 accessory).
Corrected the zoom scale in 2D modes.
Now we just need to test the new frimware

Hi
One of the changes that is not in tekst from garmin, is that theres has appeared a new button in "find" "Adress" menu, a button that reads "Spell postal code".
My problem is that its not translated into Danish, and it brings me to a page where the letter keyboard is, and not the number keyboard, so i still need to press the number button.
But im sure glad that i now can zoom in when im checking a route

Hi there,
Bought a nüvi 255WT last thursday and I had to make the 2.80 update for this unit.
I've discovered little bugs for it : when I was choosing another vehicle, my unit froze, I had to restart it to use it again.
Then, when searching for some destinations to create bookmarks, the memorisation process took at least more than 10 sec and the unit was unusable at this time (it happened twice).
Then, still when bookmarking, the unit froze 10/15 sec again after pressing "record".
Yesterday, I got the 3.10 software and like mike42dk, I have the "postal code" text not translated into French since this update.
I also noticed that the following parameters changed back to default : language, sound volume and some "factory" bookmarks like Garmin Asia, USA appeared again (I've deleted before).
Except the postal code thing, did you notice these changes to right after the 3.10 update ?
I was wondering whether I got a bad unit or if it was just due to the software. Tried to contact Garmin but the support page always fail while pressing send.

Hi
I have never seen my 205T frosen or inactive, only when it calculate a route but it takes only 5-9 sec.
About firmware upgrade I had the same thing, my 205T reset back to factory default soundvolume, language and favorites. I did not notice the favorites, as they where in the end, coz garmin is 2000 km from my curret adress 
All your trip data and track data is reset and gone so do remember to get tracks out before you upgrade firmware.
My start picture (i have made my own) did go away to, but it was still in my Jpeg folder on the gps, so i just had to reactivate it.
And all my Favorites i had put in, was still there and all my POI was still there.

Hi
I found a way to change the spelling of the new button in "Find" "adress" menu, so it now is in danish.
I did it like this.
I copied the file "Danish.gtt" from my Garmin from folder /Garmin/tekst/ in to my computer.
I opened the file in PHP Designer 2007 (free program)
And I made a seach for the spelling "Stav by" (Spell city)
and I copied the tekst:
<str>
<tag>TXT_Spell_City__Postal_Code_STR_M</tag>
<txt>Stav by/postnummer</txt>
</str>
and I put it in right above and made changes to this
<str>
<tag>TXT_Spell_Postal_Code_STR_M</tag>
<txt>Stav postnummer</txt>
</str>
saved my file copied it back to my Garmin and now it is spelled the right way in Danish
You can do this with all the laugues files.
