I got a Navigon 2110 max and i would like to access Windows CE to try some other GPS applications out. Is it possible ? If so then how do i gain access because there is no AutoRunCE.exe file on the SD card only a navigon.exe.

Thanx for the replay but i have read that thread and i can't find anything useful. It talks about the AutoRunCE.exe which is not available on this model.

Am i missing somthing here ?

Yes you are missing something. Read it again. I think you just over looked the instructions. AutorunCe is part of MioPocket. Follow Bobdole's renaming convention instructions.

If you are reffering to WisNavigon.exe then i did read that but it's like i daid different on my 2110. Here there is a navigon.exe. I could try to replace navigon.exe with WisNavigon.exe by keeping navigon.exe name.

Is that what you mean ?

I see what you are saying. Do you want to try it anyway? Copy everything over. Follow original instructions & rename the Navigon.exe to AutoRunCE.exe.bak

It might work! MAKE SURE YOU COPY ALL THE ORIGINAL FILES & KEEP IT IN A SAFE PLACE. Just in case. Make SURE to invest a little on another SD card.

GOODLUCK!

donnib...
Just back up all your original card files and add the files i sent blue to the root of your SD and it will bypass the startup and unlock you to CE. See below for the link to the unlock program i put together for Blue and others...

Hope it works for you...let me know!!

@CAJNAPE - Donnib has a 2100 max. Instead of having autorunce.exe it has navigon.exe. Using MIOPOCKET direction on the regular 2100(renaming navigon.exe to AutoRunCE.exe.bak) do you think it will work? or do you need to change something else?

The start up program will be looking for navigon.exe so i think that if he changes the autorunce file to simulate navigon.exe instead it should trick the startup program to think that the new navigon.exe is what it needs to run but in turn it will be unlocking the program into CE. That's just my take, but i don't see why it won't work.

Hi guys,
Thanx for the time u ar spending to help me out. First of all here is a screenshot of the folder on the SD card :

http://picasaweb.google.com/nissanmihai/Navigon/photo?authkey=wjXIjvOxvhY#5206171520498314626

As you can see the there is a folder on the SD card in the root named NAVIGON. In that folder you can see the files as in the picture.

navigon.exe is the file for navigation.

Here is what i have tried :
1. I have copied the files from the zip file above to the root so the AutoRunCe.exe was in the root. I then tried to rename it to navigon.exe. Didn't work.
2. I created the same folder NAVIGON in the root then placed the files in that folder and then renamed autorunce.exe to navigon.exe. Still didn't work.

What i can see is that a menu comes up where i can choose Navigation or Pictures. First when i click Navigation i get a error about navigon.c31 (btw i have also tried to rename autorunce.c31 to navigon.c31) so what i want to point out is that the GPS unit autoruns something from the internal disk first. Don't know if that is the case on other units. Still i should be able to gain access to WinCE when i click Navigation.

Other ideas ?

Try to copy the autorunce files over without renaming them and just rename the navigon.exe to navigon.bak... If that works then you can take the navigon.bak and rename it to runnav.exe and access it through explorer once you get into windows CE...

Also, make sure you copy over ALL 5 of the files in that link i gave you. IE: autorunce.exe, autorunce.c31, and the other 3 regedit files as well....

Just a suggestion, but hopefully that will work....

Nope that didn't work either. Now clicking on the Navigation button nothing happends (i guess because the navigon.exe file does not exist anymore)

Ok...did it get you into the CE? If so, on the main root of the card go ahead and rename navigon.exe to RunNav.exe and try that?

can you zip down the files on your card minus the maps of course and post so i can take a look at the root files for you? Maybe i can figure it out for you that way... Navigon might have locked the maxx out knowing we have already cracked the regular 2100....

Just a thought...
