When I opened Mapsource this morning, it gave me a link where I entered my s/n and got a discounted price for #9. I closed the page and now cannot find it. Can someone help me with this please?
Update: I found the link, but now it won't download on my office pc. It will probably work at home which is where I really want it anyway. So sorry for the false ring. |

Well, as it turns out I do need help.
I got everything to work on the pc with my 2720 attached. But when I subsequently tried to install the updated maps on my laptop and office pc, I cannot get past the point where the installation wants me to plug in my gps. I read the installation file and don't see how to get around this. Are they restricting the number of computers with updated files or is there a way around this? |

Navigate to the Msi folder, and run CNNANT2009Update_ENU.msi.
The Garmin license permits installation on two of your PCs. |

Okay, then I must contact tech support about getting it to work on a 2nd computer. I downloaded the file rather than waiting for the dvd since I have a trip next week to Canada. |

| Use an unzip program to extract the files from the download, then the same process should work. |

Garmin tech support responded today saying my license was for only 1 pc. Having installed all previous versions on three computers, I didn't think to look at the fine print - if there was such with the downloaded file - to discover this change in policy. Disappointing since I would have use the updated map on my laptop and not my home pc that has constant Internet. |

So there do not appear to be any load or usage bugs with the new NT versions being used on the Street Pilot C3xx's, correct??
What are the more reliable vendors for this update (need their websites, if you can)? GPSCTY.com?? I'll try it but wondered if there were others (Best Buy, Sam's, CostCo...looked yesterday...nothing yet). I live less than 100 mi from Garmin but if they don't have it, why waste the time. Besides, they have backed out of the "free" update I was supposed to get...so saving even $10 will help.
Thanks for your input. TL |
