I am trying to see videos on youtube with my C320 with MioPocket on it. I can load the youtube web page with the Opera browser, but when I click on the video, it shows an error message: "The address is unknown or unsupported".
Could you please tell me what to do ?

Hello!
First of all sorry for my bad english!
I found very easy way to unlock Mio 269+ and 269 with newest ROM (with MioMap 3.2 support). It should also work with all 268 and 268+(all ROMs).
1. copy MioPacket on SD Card
2. rename folder SDFree to MioMap
3. put SDcard into Mio
4. Start Navigation (first icon on the left)
5. It should apper window where you can choose Run MioMap or Run MioPacket
6. Choose RunMioPacket
7. Ther apper long question choose No
8. wait untiul mio rebots
9. You've got fully unlocked Mio 269+ !!!
On 26x(+) there isn't function screen rotate so I must install NyditotVirtualDisplay but I need ActiveSync for it but it don't work. When I was using old unlock there was a script for AS and it works with MioPacket

Maybe it isn't perfect but it works perfect on mio 296+ with internal Storage Card (there is a problem with this storage card because only miostartup.exe can load MioMonitor.exe witch unlock this storage card).This problem don't exists on 268(+) but using this script is better because MioMonitor.exe can't be run manualy and when it is running we got for example message "batery is to low" etc.
There is a problem with opera :( - it don't work (only appers a window with opera.dll and some squers in message when I tap ok shows fatal application error).

As far as I know, no one has gotten YouTube to work in Opera yet. I believe that it uses Flash, and that, ActiveX controls and other kinds of 3rd-party add-ons don't seem to be supported in these particular mobile versions of Opera and IE. Check out and resurrect the "wifi on the c520" thread if you have interest in looking into it further.

1. Good information. I'll add the installation tip to the Readme, but I'm curious: did the instructions in the Readme (autorunce.exe and autorunce.mscr on the SD card) not work for you?
2. Have you tried Internet Explorer, instead? Actually, that probably won't work, since your 269+ comes with CE 4.2, I see. Maybe that's also why Opera won't work for you. |

1. This instruction from Readme doesn't work with 269+(it may work with 268 because it hasn't got internal storage card). 269+ after HR starts installing orginal MioMap*.cab (from storage card\installation\ ). In that directory are files autorunce.exe, reset.exe, syscfg.dat.
2. IE doesn't work too :(. Opera can work with CE4.2 but there is needed some dll hack.
3. Don't work:
- Flash player
- WM Player
- Packet Pictuer
- Notes
4. There is a problem with transcriber. I must install it manually by tapping on \SD Card\MoiAutoRun\Scripts\InstallTranscriberDriver.mscr then do Soft Reset and it works good. |

VolumeButton.exe was running, but since it wasn't working I closed it. I'll keep playing with the application.
By the way, what exactly is supposed to happen when I press the volume buttons while running the hot key application? I know the volume is supposed to change, but is there any indicator on the screen showing the change in volume? |

Installed MioPocket2 R43 on Mio moov 300 (SD installation), works like a charm (thanks, Osprey). Purpose was to run iGo which I personally like more than MioMap 2008, and MioPocket handled it with aplomb. All the stuff which goes with MioPocket is nice to have handy, too. It's pretty stable as well - I ran it for a few days without having to hard reset device, switching between iGo, MioMap and MioPocket pre-packaged applications. MioPocket for sure has its glitches but I can live with it.
The only annoying thing I'd like to fix - I can not connect to device in neither USB mass storage mode nor ActiveSync mode when MioMocket installed, any idea how to fix it?

1) I think you cannot access device in USB mode when Mio Pocket is installed, because it prevents USB mode but wait for Osprey to confirm this?
2) I had problems in connecting to Active Sync too... try soft reset and if it doesn't help... you know :) HARD! |

Great work on MIOPOCKET!
I have been using it on my C520 since the beginning!
I just got an H610 and have been trying to get it to work on it.
Do I need to do anything special to any of the files in order to get it up and running with the correct resolution? |

The volume is supposed to change accordingly to the key pressed. Make sure you're playing something while testing this. As this point there is no indicator yet but that's easy to implement using SystemInformation to display that and exit. I will enhance my volume scripts and keep you posted. I was able to replace the HotKey icon with a "speaker" type icon in VolumeButton.exe using IcoFX. Might need to do the same for the PowerButton.exe. This tells us what they are when viewing in Task Manager or in Total Commander ect... |

That's realy interesting! Can you tell me how to set default locale to romanian? I didn't find anywhere wince.nls with romanian locales included (my device have only english and chinese). |

3. That's to be expected. Not all of MioPocket's apps work properly in CE 4.2.
4. Transcriber messes up some devices, so we've had to put in some checks before it gets installed, and your device must be failing one of the checks. If you're sure that Transcriber works fine on your device, open up MioAutoRun\Scripts\Unlock.mscr, search for "Transcriber" and put # signs in front of the "If(RegRead..." and "If(FileExists..." lines, as well as in front of the two "EndIf" lines.

Setting up Garmin in MioPocket is no different than other nav apps: just tap the icon and point it to the app's main executable.

Thanks. It always feels great to hear praise from a new (or old) user. As for your problem, I don't own a Moov, but I think that USB is enabled on Moovs by one of Mio's startup apps (SmartST_CE.exe or AppStartupSec.exe). The problem is that running these apps also runs MioMap, so I think that you need to be in MioMap (and have launched it from one of those apps, not MioMap.exe) for USB to work. Moov owners can correct me if I'm wrong and, maybe, provide a workaround. Since I don't own a Moov, I'm only in a position to offer suggestions.

There's some very basic support for the H610. During installation, if MioPocket detects a device with a portrait resolution, it will rotate the screen. You'll have to use the device sideways. If you'd prefer not to do that, there's a good unlock out there for the H610 by a guy who used to hang out around here. Do a Google search for "xtyler simple unlock H610" and you'll find it. |
