Hi, i´ve adquired a GPS from eBay. Model E4330i. I found a "trick" to enter in Windows, but i got a problem, when i try to run any program, Windows give me an error message: "Cannot find xxx (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries ae avaliable."
I thought its was a DLL problems, but problem persists....
So i want to ask if i would install another Windows Mobile, if i need to dump the device´s ROM (and how) or if i only got to search and install DLLs ??
I put its features:
Processor: Samsung 400 Mhz (ARM926T-AT4X0A) Sirf Atlas III
RAM: 64 Mb
OS: Windows CE 5.0
Screen: 4,3"
Other features: Bluetooth , MiniUSB, SD up to 2 Gb, FM

Did you get anywhere with this. ?
I picked up one cheap as well, liked the look of it and wanted Bluetooth capabilities so was good.
I am getting my head around it, put MioMap 3.3 on it last night, the original IGO was a hacked demo version and had a couple of issues. Will see how that goes and then try tweaking it a bit.
Maybe the reason you cannot do anything what you jump it into CE is that the boot is interrupted? Almost like a safe mode or zero config.
I had a quick look at the registry last night, still trying to understand how it all goes together..

| hey guys, I just ordered one, and am really excited to hear what you have done with these. Are you still working with them? Made any progress? I'f you've taken it offline (email), can you include me in the loop? Especially if the installed software has issues and you've found a solution! i'd love to use something like tablet pc on it, where I can utilize the touch-screen. |

I haven't done much with it yet, except replace the demo version of IGO (which did not seem to save settings) with MioMap 3.3 with TTS.
By default it runs the software off the SD card /mobilenavigator/mobilenavigator.exe so you could try putting whatever you like there (just rename the exe to mobilenavigator).
When I get another rainy day I'll look into the Registry again.

I got a problem! my device is dead!
I have installed a program to rotate the screen and kills it.
Now only got the boot screen...
Damn, guys dont install any rotater software!! is dangerous.
It cant start, even when i make a hard reset.
And, i think E4330i is the same than Navsoon 4280. If anybody knows something about a ROM backup for this, please contact me. |

I am giving mine away to a friend. The main thing I bought it for was the Bluetooth, but the microphone in it is useless. Nobody can hear me.
According to the ebay page it supports dual microphone, but I cannot see where there is a second one.
Canino, how do I get a copy of the ROM off ?, I will gladly send a copy if I know how to do it! |

| The mic on mine works just fine. I wonder if it is an issue with the bluetooth with your phone? I have a blackberry curve 8320 and the bluetooth works great with this unit. I also have a Garmin Nuvi660 which crashes my blackberry when they connect via bluetooth! Unbelievable! |

| I'm sure it is the GPS unit, I have no problem with another bluetooth adapter (Nokia headset one). Just for a test I tried on my old Motorola and it is the same, the other end cannot hear me. |

Sorry to jump in on this but came up on a search.
I have the same unit and am having the same problem with the backup.
have tried using miomap 3 and it and it works apart from the backup which is the same as igo software already installed.
any help would be appreciated. |
