vag,

Some time ago I had the same problem with the GPS beeing out (about 500 meters).
The problem for me was that I was testing the 102 inside the house (next to a window)
I thought that this was okay, but it was not.

Try your 102 outside (in the garden or so). With a bit of luck the GEO info will be okay!

Cyril, I have been looking at your code for displaying the data on the maps and i am baffled by the use of this line of code - I can not see what it does. Can you explain?

strlen($data['longitudeDecimalDegrees']) == 9 && $data['longitudeDecimalDegrees'] = '0'.$data['longitudeDecimalDegrees'];

length of Longitude = 9? (returns true or false)
AND longitude = '0'longitude ???

I've been around PHP for a while and passed it by a full time PHP programmer and neither of us understand it....

Edit: Nevermind, we worked it out. If the first part returns true then the second part is processed. Odd way of doing it (to me) but i get it now :)

Hi AndrewH,

If longitudeDecimalDegrees contain only 9 caracter, I add à 0 before other numbers.

It's a dirty hack to have longitude and latitude always with the same format.

For an unknow reason, there is or not a 0 before degrees.

strlen($data['longitudeDecimalDegrees']) == 9 && $data['longitudeDecimalDegrees'] = '0'.$data['longitudeDecimalDegrees'];

is a short notation for :

if(strlen($data['longitudeDecimalDegrees']) == 9)
{
$data['longitudeDecimalDegrees'] = '0'.$data['longitudeDecimalDegrees'];
}

Wifi,

I'm a better developper in php than perl, but it will be interesting.

Give me some days to to that.

Wifi,

The server in perl will be finished tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Perl is a weird language. I think it's author was drunk when he wrote it ... .

Wow.. Sounds nice, but I hope that you are not only making this for me!

I was thinking exactly like you, but I guess that after some time you will be able to understand it like any other programming code.

I do not know howfar you are already coding it, and if you can code this, but it would be nice to have a -stop and -start option. (so I do not need to "kill -9" it all the time when testing things.)

Have fun coding, and I'm looking forward to your perl coding :-)
