The server program is written for a motorola mobile phone and a GPS receiver, but not for tk102. You have to modify the server program and convert the GPS data, so that your coordinate looks like 56.9360 024.2056, then you would see your position in Riga / praulienas iela.
P.S.:
If you can not modify the server software, I send its modified version to you in a few hours. |

Hi Dyno, Yes I also have two -2 from xexun and the format is slightly different then yours. After contacting Xexun I find out that some times they ship trackers with slightly different format ,for example mine shipped with not the GPRMC compatible format and I had problem with third party combatibility perograms but with FW update problem fixed!

Yes I think it is compatible for example with GPSGATE as you may notice there is the string GPRMC "...GPRMC,183334.000,A,5230.1234,N,01322.1234,E,0.00,196.52,080609,,,A*6C.."
in full format I think. That's the format most 3rd party supports. It is like 'reading' directly the GPS GPRMC command if you inderstand what I mean.

I've contact with xexun directly and got the latest pricelist. There are only a "TK102" and the "TK102-1". The last one (-1) has a better CPU, SD-Slot ..

I don't know if the "tk102-2" is the true name of the tracker or not. That's the name that I'm reading always in this forum. I have bought it by our kindly forum member Janio and received it from Hong Kong, because I couldn't find it in Germany by www.ebay.de. Mine has really the micro SD slot and hopefully also the better and faster CPU.
Now in German: Nun ist es egal, ob TK102-1 oder Tk102-2. :-) |

Hi,
I just got a TK 102 (probably cheap Chinese copy, bought here in Thailand).
Problem I have is that when I send a message to the tracker (begin123456), the reply it sends back can't be read on my PDA phone. The recieved SMS just says "message cannot be displayed".
When I tried from my sierra wireless aircard, the message from the tracker doesn't come through as a sms message instead a window pops up saying "binary data".
Any ideas? |

You can use GPRS easy in Thailand. Actually my problem is that SMS is not working. I get a reply after I send command, but cannot read it...
I am now using it on GPRS, together with Franson buddy tracker. I have put a True Move simcard in with a 250 Baht/month unlimited GPRS package.
I update every 3 minutes (command is: t003m***s123456 where 123456 is your password) |
