Sorry Eskimoy,
i would like to help you, but myself i am only using the basic functions of TK102 and these are working here without problems.

Regarding Geo-fence i only can refer to manual. According to this, for it's activation you have to send by SMS:
stockade<password><space><lat1><,><lon1><;><lat2><,><lon2>
where lat1,lon1 is coordinate of top left corner and lat2,lon2 coordinate of bottom right corner. Values must be in degrees only ( like e.g.: 56.1234 ). I guess you have to add a leading <-> when your LAT coodinates are in southern or LON coordinates are in western hemisphere. Unfortunately the manual is totally unclear in this respect. I am also a little bit in doubt on insertion of correct characters between those different coordinate values, but format like above is according to manual.

Klaus

hi Guys, i've just got the tracker yesterday, tested.. working fine with SMS however i did not try the move thing but tryied the monitor thing and everything is working fine but unfortunatly i was unable to use the GPRS feature of the device, i configured the device to send the information to my IP address and port also configured the APN but, but when i call the device after setting up APN and IP it doesn't hang up my call. and not getting any information to my server also, it is mantioned in the manual that they are providing the software to configure the APN but there is google earth in the CD, if anyone has configured it to send information over GPRS plz let me know, thanx

hi ppl

I already configured my linux server to receive and send the repply message to gpstracker,
but I must say that the manual is horribel, and it doesnt help,
I lost a few hours to learn the tricks first,
ex setup apn without the software, by sms (it works, but inmanual nothing grr),
I I dont have the software and I dont find it anywhere so I must break the head first grrrr

Now, I have some questions that I cant encounter anywhere

1) Question #1 - can we know the file format??

we have 18 values inside the result string

0806130042,934757??6,GPRMC,004238.680,A,4009.4647,N,00851.3850,W,3.06,143.10,130608,,,A*7F,L,imei:359586013873??1,102

I know some, but what are the others?

In Manual we have only 7??????

Serial number + authorized number + GPRMC + GPS signal indicator + command + IMEI number + CRC16 checksum

yeah we all read that crap manual...no comments

the result array ready to work

[0] => 0806130042 (Serial number)
[1] => 934757??6 (authorized number)
[2] => GPRMC (GPRMC)
[3] => 004238.680
[4] => A
[5] => 4009.4647
[6] => N
[7] => 00851.3850
=> W
[9] => 3.06
[10] => 143.10
[11] => 130608
[12] =>
[13] =>
[14] => A*7F
[15] => L
[16] => imei:359586013873??1 (IMEI number)
[17] => 102

but what are the unknown values, it helps a lot if we know it

2) Question #2 - What the hell is that coordinate values?
and How can I use that, or better convert it to any usefull format

[3] => 004238.680
[4] => A
[5] => 4009.4647
[6] => N
[7] => 00851.3850
=> W

I try hard to know what coordinates format is that,
and I dont give up yet,
but if we try it google maps or any other format I cant use it

and nothing in that manual.....
I try guess Sirf3 format but I cant found any ex of its coordinates

if we check in http://boulter.com/gps/
we have Decimal Degrees (WGS84), Degrees, Minutes & Seconds, GPS and UTM for start but it doesnt work

well, how can we use that coordinates in google format?

3) Question #3 - the GpsTracker in adminip works only with IPS ex 28.28.28.28. or with domains too?
like mydomain.com, I try with a dyndns.org domain and it doesnt work, maybe its from the GPRS configuration,? maybe

Thanks for the help

and please try to help to solve this questions, I Think its usefull for many ppl like us ;)

I will continue to find the hidden tricks of this good, but so bad documented gps tracker

Hello,
part of message starting with "GPRMC" is quite a normal NMEA 0183 sentence.
Use e.g. GOOGLE and search with keywords: NMEA and RMC. After this you should find a lot of pages describing detailed meaning of all it's contents.

add on:

[3] => 004238.680
Time( UTC ):
00 = hours
42 = minutes
38.680 = seconds

[4] => A
validation of data:
A = valid
V = invalid

[5] => 4009.4647
latitude:
40 degrees
09.4647 minutes

[6] => N
hemisphere:
N = northern
S = southern

sample for calculation of result in degrees only:
lat ( degs. ) = 40 + (9.4674/60)
lat = 40 + 0.15779 = 40.15779
use negative LAT values in case positions are in southern hemisphere

[7] => 00851.3850
longitude:
008 degrees
51.3850 minutes

=> W
hemisphere:
W = western
E = eastern

sample for calculation of result in degrees only:
lon ( degs. ) = 8 + (51.3850/60)
lon = 8 + 0.8564166667 = 8.8564166667
use negative LON values in case positions are in western hemisphere

Calculated degrees only values can be used under GOOGLE EARTH:

I hope this will help

Array Updated, Now we only need to know 9,10,11,12,13 and 14 (thanks Klaus ;)
[0] => 0806130042 - Serial number
[1] => 934757776 - authorized number
[2] => GPRMC - GPRMC
[3] => 004238.680 -Time( UTC ): 00 = hours, 42 = minutes, 38.680 = seconds
[4] => A - validation of data: A = valid, V = invalid
[5] => 4009.4647 - latitude: 40 degrees, 09.4647 minutes
[6] => N - hemisphere: N = northern, S = southern
[7] => 00851.3850 -longitude: 008 degrees, 51.3850 minutes
=> W -hemisphere: W = western, E = eastern
[9] => 3.06
[10] => 143.10
[11] => 130608
[12] =>
[13] =>
[14] => A*7F
[15] => L - GPS signal indicator
[16] => imei:359586013873281 - IMEI number
[17] => 102 - CRC16 checksum

about time,
what is the commands (sms) to adjust tracker clock time,
I note that 0 = hours, 42 = minutes, 38.680 = seconds is not the correct time

anybody knows all the the unreported manual commands like the hidden one that I Guess and Find with luck
apn123456 isp_apn

I go try to find some related docs NMEA and RMC,
maybe answear some of the questions

where can I download that chinese aplication that is in the manual
and how can I flash and found the firmware tools?

thanks ppl
