It is a shame if it works this way. It would be great to receive regularily positions on the server and the low-bat message with SMS just to get the alert via the most efficient way. On top of this my server is just giving the position on a map and not the all message coming from the tracker. If I want to check the whole message I need to go in admin mode and to check a kind of log... |

| Maybe you should change to a server/software with more functions, if the one you are using now is lacking in so many options for you. |

Yes, it is an option. But I still think it would be better to receive the low-bat alarm via SMS in any circumstances. I am more often with my GSM in my pocket than in front of my computer watching my server... |

Are you trying to say that when the tracker sends position via GPRS it doesn't send the low-bat SMS?
Thats it.
The tracker allows only one mode at the same time so you have to decide if you want to use sms mode or gprs mode. Every alert is send by the way of transmission you configured, no matter if it is a stockade, move, speed, shake,...
I have done it in my code to send an email or a sms if there is triggered an alert. The user of my system can configure it in his account, if he wants to receive a mail or a sms. I know, thats just a workaround, but it is working fine in my testaccounts ;-) |

I understand the way it works. So far I used it in GPRS mode and I was sending a smslinkone123456 to get a SMS, so, I thought it could be also an exception for the low-bat alert.

The format command does not need the password, so the correct syntax is:

I can't tell for sure for Xexun, but for the Coban, when switched to GPRS mode send all messages to GPRS. So the battery low messages is send to the server.

You are right, it is the same with my TK102-2. I checked the server log and the low battery is mentioned in the messages coming from the tracker. My new issue is: how to manage this low battery alarm with GPSGateServer??? |

Yes I can configure a SMS gateway but I would need to connect a GSM to my server and I can't for some reasons. I can also configure a SMS proxy but I don't know any SMS proxy service on the net... I also configured an email notification this one is under test. |

| There are many services in the internet where you can rent a sms gateway, in germany this would be a service like mobilant, but you have to pay in prepaid. |

My buyer has 30 TK102 for his fleet and i want him to swap to TK102-2 because of the SD card function. But before i do so, i wanted to know more about this function.
It says that it saves all data on SD card when no GSM and uploads when GPRS is active again, but it has two commands one to save on SD and one to read from SD.
so my question is, does it automatically save the date on SD when no GSM and than send to GPRS automatically when the GSM is available again ? or it has to be done manually
any help in this regard will be appreciated.
thank you! |

Thanks, but the format command did not work. I now tried the TK102-2 (it has an SD place, so I think it is a mark 2) without a sim card and it keeps doing the same thing: blinking, stopping for a second, burning for a second... Does this mean it is a firmware error??
I really need some help here, as I need to fix this before this coming Saterday !!
