You have the IMEI in there, I am not sure then what "CELL ID" information you need.
Also, I have not seen any XEXUN tracker that sens an SMS in that format, with a google maps link. You might want to visit XEXUN web site and enter your IMEI in there to see if your tracker is original, I doubt it is a XEXUN tracker, so what you read on the manual will not always apply to your device.
Maybe you are right!
Inside the case I found a ticket where was written "Poton New Technology".
I tried to send them an email but no answer yet.
In any case I'm sure that I could try to upgrade firmware if I had one!

Even if yours is a copy the software firmware will be similar to the book, the early version did not have cell ID.
The upgrade will give you MCC Mobile Country Code MNC Mobile Network Code LAC Location area code Cell ID |

Yes, but this is the point : I have Flash, the written procedure and the USB cable. To try the upgrade I need only the *.hex file.
The only file I have is gps_car.hex but is a file of 2007 (so surely wrong)
If someone coluld help me my e-mail is paolo448@gmail.com
Thank in advance

| Paolo, be careful when upgrading your tracker. If you use a firmware that is not for your tracker, you might end up with a non functional tracker, that might happen easily if you use a firmware from one manufacturer on a tracker from another manufacturer. And if you do not have a backup of your current firmware, you might not be able to bring it back to life. |

You are right!. To solve this problem, the only method is to "communicate" with the tracker, in order to read the firmware version. I have seen certain tool useful for programming purpose. The one in my CD is called "GPS Tracker Setting20091226" but I don't manage to use it. It answers :
Star to read device software version... ... Operate Failture,Overtime!!!!
Any idea ?

Guys, I have a TK 102 Clone - working ok. Is is possible, on the Iphone, to receive the SMS Geoinfo and put it directly on Google maps? I have seen a demo on Youtube but I cannot enter it directly on Google Maps. What is the trick? I appreciate your kind info. |

SUCCESS!! After my TK102 (with wxlxy link) never worked with GPRS (I always getting connect error - see post above 1st post on page110) I decided to change firmware. Tried some hexs I had available but no one worked. All of a sudden an idea came up my mind.... Tried another hex (I think it is original Xexun fw but I am not sure) and guess what... everything is WORKING now including GPRS! :)) P.s: May be it's not a clone after all! hehe!
Hi kokos, I have the same TK102 with wxlxy link. I can make it work with SMS but never in GPRS mode. I see some differences between other models: I have to send "GPRS123456" to start gprs mode, by default its working in SMS mode. Another different command is "fix030s020n123456" instead of "t030s020n123456". Fix command works fine in SMS mode, when I switch to GRPS mode I get "GPRS ok!" but I never receive any data. I tried gps-trace.com, and the application in the cd, nothing works. I sent the command "check123456" and I get: "battery 100% , GPS:ON; Signal level:15; GPRS:OFF" even after send "GPRS123456" and received "GPRS ok!" What can be happening? I set all the parameters begin, adminip, apn, fix by SMS and I always get OK. The only solution is to change the firmware? Thanks in advance for your help!!! |

Try to set gprs interval after sending the grps123456 by following command: t030s***n123456
This means interval of 30 seconds. |

I tried this but I always get GPRS:OFF when I send "check123456". I would like to know if the people who make it works receive GPRS:OK when them send "check123456" by SMS to the device. Thankss!!!

| I have what looks like the clone version of the TK102 (black batteries & wxy website thing in the messages). I lost my password for this device and was looking for a cable and firmware for it so I could set it back to default. I also sent a polite email to the manufacturers see if there was a way to reset it back, and there is! I'm not sure if this has been posted already but there is a special SMS you can send to the device to reset the password. If anybody needs it then let me know and I will post it up. Appologies if this has already been covered. |

Note this might not work for all firmwares and versions of the device but it did work for my one (black batteries & wxly URL in sms replies)
send an sms to device adminpassword13142324
if it worked the device should reply password is 123456
now the password is reset ;)
I also have GPRS working if anyone wants a howto? |
