Hey guys,
sorry for not reading all the 102 pages (is that maybe a portent? )
I only have one question: Is there ANY possibility to control the TK102 over the INTERNET without using an aditional phone/sim? Unfortunately I don't have a server so I think I have to use a service like GPS-Trace?
Thanks! |

OK sorry maybe that was uncompehensible. My question is how to control the TK102 without an additional phone (or an additional SIM, e.g. in a UMTS-USB-stick). Of course I need a SIM for the TK102 itself. But I want to control the TK102 over the internet and not with another phone via sms. So I want to tell the TK102 to do e.g. a speed alert or send position every 30s. The two possibilities I could imagine are via SMS from some SMS service in the internet or, better, via GPRS directly. But how? |

Ok I just dealt with GPS-Trace a bit and I could read: "Select device, style and time interval watch on map device movement history. Changing parameters and device you can see full picture of movements and stays of your friends." Does that mean it's possible to control the device via GPS-Trace? |

Hi,
Does anbody have a copy of the files that Tilo had on his FTP server last year?
The server seems to be down for a while now and I am particularly interested in the big zip file he put together with all the commands etc.

@zasud My TK103-2 (with USB port) accepts the sleep123456 command. Maybe your firmware doesnt accept this.

got some question for the faq, i'm writing here http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=133878
1) I'm thinking to fit a tk102 on a motorbike and in my car, I was thinking of hiding the unit, connecting it with a standard motorola charger to the battery(tk102), but if I disconnect vehicle battery and tk102 discharge and goes off, then I connect vehicle battery tk102 will turn on by itself or will wait to press on button (which will be very difficult to press since unit will be hided)
2) which is the best place to hide tk102?
3) a motorola 1A charger should work fine on tk102?
4) tlimit will work on tk103? |

| BTW what about power consumption, is it the same when using T120M***N (send GPS coordinates by GPRS every 120 minutes) and TLIMIT 50 (which suppose to send coordinates only if it is moved for more than 50 meters)? |

@kensm
Those guys from xexun are blowing my mind...
quote: Can you tell me when your friend ordered his TK103-2? There are two sim card slot for his TK103-2 also? We have two kinds of firmware for TK103-2. You have to send the POWER-SAVING COMMANDS to the tracker to save the power before. But for our newest firmware, you dont need to send commands and the tracker will be in sleeping-mode automatically if there is no tracking requests fro 10 minites.
So, do you have 2 simcard slot (the second sim card is available when you open the housing)? May be you could share the IMEI or serial number of your TK103-2 so they could identify the firmware.
P.S. Did you set any TxxxS***N timer for the tracker to send GPRS\GPS data when ACC is on? In other words, how often it is sending GPS coordinates by GPRS when the ACC is ON? |

@zasud No, my tk103-2 has only one sim card slot.
When i set at60sum0 (Got one position each minute) I only receive this report IF the acc wire cable (green one) has a +12V signal comming from the ignition car. (Engine turned on). I can set any time i want to it report while car is turned on. After car engine is turned off, i still receive his position for 5 minutes then stop.
PS: This command TxxxS***N is for the tk102 model, not tk103.
Best Regards, Kensm from Brazi |
