I noticed on another site that they carry a sound alert library for POI's since newer GPS systems can play mp3's. Instead of having a standard alert when they approach a POI they can customize it with mp3 files.
I've prepared a custom library of over 500 mp3 files for my POI Scanner. I used a text-to-speech software. I wonder if custom MP3 alerts would be of any use here in the future? If so, I can upload them. Zipped it's around 8.5MB, unzipped it's around 14MB.
I uploaded file toyfountain_mp3_sound_files_complete.zip . It contains all of the mp3's. Please upload them in the directory and I'll prepare the links so people can upload them individually. There are 537 mp3s in all. I don't know if or when I'll have time to add icons to them.
I renamed some of the files because Firefox and IE did not read the address correctly. Basically all the files with ' in the names. The browser inserts a space instead so I renamed the files with a space instead. Can you put the files of this file in the folder? This should fix th broken links. toyfountain_mp3_sound_files_renamed.zip
edit: Can you can delete them after from the main directory. I uploaded them, but editied the renamed sound file to include them afterwards. caution ,children s park ahead.mp3 Jason s Deli ahead.mp3
