A fortnight or so ago, I released a “repackage” of the QuickSilver Skin for the c230 in which I not only made some modifications to that c220 skin, but I collected and added a lot of great features that different folks were working on independently. I have continued to work on this and am now releasing an updated version.

This is based on the Quick Silver / Quick Silver Reborn Skin and ameridan/c230’s 3.4 unlock script. If you like this please visit him at: http://c230.wordpress.com/ and consider a small donation to his coffee fund. QuickSilver ’66 (as I’m calling it) has the following features (contributors noted):

Quicksilver ’66 (c230) v1.42 features:
* Exit Door (Original)
* “Easy” Route Option (Original)
* Track Log Export Button (Original)
* GPS Power-Off Button (Original)
* Main Screen - Minimize Button removed Clock Centered (jrplumber1)
* Route-to-Map Switch Buttons Added (olivercp)
* Updated “Route-Map Switch Button” Icons, correctly placed and transparent when menu is engaged (CD/2manylights)
* Updated GPS Screen: New globe graphic, Accuracy-Elevation-Speed boxes moved slightly left so that elevations over 1000ft do not bleed off left side (CD/2manylights)
* Updated Loading Screen to include ’66 GTO (CD/2manylights)
* Updated “POI”, “Night Colors”, “Manage POI”, “Manage Track Logs” and “Exit Mio Map” Buttons (CD/2manylights)
* “config” folder fix to “announce roundabouts properly” (ameridan/c230)
* “Manage POI" button added to top of “Find POI” page for direct access of POI management without backtracking (CD/2manylights)
* Updated car icon in Cockpit Mode to ’66 GTO (CD/2manylights - SPECIAL THANKS TO A.G.!)

The data.zip file for this Skin can be found here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2mylmkjxvg8

NOTE: My Desktop, Icons and Clock differ from those defined in ameridan/c230’s 3.4 script.

The Icons can be found here, and must be added to the flash\script\icons folder
http://www.mediafire.com/?9zbemts3xjn

The Desktop Background image is here, and must be added to the flash\script folder
http://www.mediafire.com/?fmyagxnzzt1

This clock will necessitate that you change your clock.ini file (to move the numbers as not to conflict with the graphic).

The Clock Background image is here, and must be added to the flash\script folder
http://www.mediafire.com/?aaywjwb3ynk

That clock.ini file can be found here, and must be added to the flash\script\SysInfo folder

To be honest, the mute button was already part of the build when I got it. But I am happy it is working for you!

I am new to the mio map but trying to learn. Thanks for all your hard work it really helps. Is it possible to use the original skin BUT include your brilliant car icon on the map? Any help much appreciated.
Thanks again,
Chris.

Use of a car pic is part of the original skin. I merely replaced the green car with the GTO. I suppose you could replace the arrow (if you can find it) with the car .bmp and it would work.

Could you please list the changes you made for the Manage POI button? I am running QS Reborn 1.3 on C710, MioMap 3.3

I've copied the following section and the btn_config.bmp file in daylight/night but still no button up there.

Thanks!

<layer ui_poi_search_center>
; <SPRITE xxx x=2 y=31 bmp="txtfield_236wide.bmp">
; Button to switch directly to POI Management from Find POI - 2008-01-23 By C. Dean.
<BUTTON xxx x=220 y=0 bmp="btn_config.bmp" valign="CENTER" text="" fontsize=11 ph=2 font="tahoma" color=#000000 onrelease='nextstate ST_POI_MANAGE_LEVEL_1'>
<BUTTON xxx x=260 y=0 bmp="btn_change1.bmp" valign="CENTER" text="Change\nref." fontsize=11 ph=2 font="tahoma" color=#000000 onrelease='nextstate st_searchpoiaround' twolineoffset=-4>
<TEXT txt_poi_search_center x=0 w=310 h=34 y=25 z=99 text="Current Location" fontsize=11 font="tahoma" fontsize=12 color=#000000>
</layer>

Looks like you've got it covered to me; all I can suggest is that you confirm that the data.zip in your MioMap folder actually contains those changes.

It does have the right file. However, the way it's organized is a little different. There is a zip file inside the skin sub folder in DATA.zip (qs_reborn). How does this work?

Another possibility is that this may not work for 3.3?

I've found out why: qs_reborn has the poi ui in its folder, overriding what's in DATA.zip.

Could you please tell me what change is needed for the following:

* Route-to-Map Switch Buttons Added (olivercp)
* Updated “Route-Map Switch Button” Icons, correctly placed and transparent when menu is engaged (CD/2manylights)
