Was an ex MIO c310x user and I just got the Nuvi 650 (Unfortunately my mio was stolen couple of months ago). Since I already owned a GPS earlier, I don't have too many things to get excited about or complain about this unit. I've noted down a few of the most prominent ones that come to mind. No flames please.

What I like about Nuvi 650:
- One of the things I hated on my mio was the route calculation.
It wasn't the most accurate and boy if u took a wrong turn, it'd
get totally confused and would keep asking u to take a u-turn
for the next 15-20 minutes or more sometimes.
- Nuvi seems to excel in this regard. Whenever I don't take the
road suggested by it, it quickly recomputes within a matter of
seconds. Just for this reason, I'd prefer Nuvi or MIO.

What I don't like or like to see improvements on:
- The legend information at the bottom and the street name at the
top together take about 20% percent of the screen real estate.
On my old MIO, this was at the side (time for next turn etc) thus
leaving more room for map. The wide screen of 650 can be used more
efficiently by moving these things to the side banner. In 3D mode
I can barely see 1-2 streets ahead from my current position.
- MIO knew the speeds limits for a large percentage of the roads.
I could configure the sw to warn me if I drove over a certain
percentage above the speed limit or a fixed number of miles over
the limit. That I found was very useful.
Nuvi doesn't seem to have this or I haven't figured it out how to
do it. Reading the forums it seems like, one has to load custom
POIs to do this (hope didn't read it wrong), which seems a drag.
- On Mio, I could add safety cameras and other custom POIs on the
device itself. I mean I didn't need POIUpdater (I could do that
also). I mean, sometimes u find new things and u'd like to save
these POIs (or new cameras locations) while waiting at the light.
U don't have to wait to go home and add it via the POI updater.

It may seem like I am complaining, but I like my nuvi. I just want
it to have some of the good features that others devices have.
