Yes, u can
1) Close bbO
2) from \ResidentFlash\iPaq\Programs\utilities\ run Regedit.exe
3) Open the section HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
4) Look for the SYSTEM and open it
5) Click on GDI, then click on SYSFNT
6) On the right side of the regedit windows, click on "Ht"
8) Change the value from 1B to fffffff4 (the original value)
or, better, but u need to reset the system every time u make a change, set the Base vale in decimal (in the right corner of the popup) and set the Ht value 20, 15 etc..
u have to do the same steps above for the section GWE - Menu - PopFnt and GWE - Menu - BarFnt

You have to change your USB settings in IPAQ's Control Panel\usbClientSwitch from Mass_Storage_Class to Serial_Class to be able to connect to your PC via Active Sync. Backup your device in active sync\tools\backup/restore, it is important. Soft-reset after registry changes.

1. Is it possible to start default oasis GPS navigation(I know, that it is not iGO, but I like it ) or other oasis applications(mp3 player...) after this changes?if yes, how can I quit or minimize it?
2. I em thinking about installing BBO, and there is the same question - Can I use standard GPS navigation, or must I install iGO, TomTom, Mio...?(I know that it is not very big problem to install it, but I em veeery lazy  ) |

| bobkane: Right now to install/update bbo we need to copy install files&folders to an SD root. Is it a big deal to make bbo installation work from inside of a folder? It will help to delete bbo installation files after an update/installation or keep them separately from other SD content. |

I think the problem is needing to have the celauncher files in the root as they are automatically lauched by WinCE...
I guess you could have the the celauncher exe and mscr files in the root and have them act opon other files in folders...
I am new at this stuff so if I am wrong someone please correct me... |

or anyone who has the files from the OLD EMF mod for the original software.
I was holding off on doing it , until i got the maps updated, which i did, and now i was all ready to do the mod, thanks to the web site.

after downloading 10-12 Zips and rars for the EMF mod, not one of them had ALL this stuff IN it, leaving me with 1/2 a mod, and you know what will happen then.

HP side notes: i liked the way the portrait driver upped the size of the tiny icons in Many programs (dpi), but it would mulch a few things too. the driver when NOT rotated changes the DPI, and doesnt much mess up other things speed wise. so i adjusted the Xpixels and Ypixels in the driver to 150x150 , and the icons get a Little bigger, and still most everything else i have installed, and adjusted work fine TOO. even a 130x130 should work too, if you got stuff that is just to big afterwards.
so paint, tcmp, cmd, and stuff like that with the tiny icons, i can (basically) now get with my fingers easier, reducing the need for stylus.
i was wondering about that, and finnaly tested it with all the various programs, 190 broke to many things, 150 dont. |

Deamontus, if you are going to install bbO, then you can create links to whatever software you have.
To quit oasis you have to do some changes
in ResidentFlash\OS\Config\sys.txt file:
find line starting with:
;force exit button on the main/setting screen
mainexitbutton=0 change to 1, this way you will get
red cross at the bottom of the oasis setup screen.
To exit navigation software you have to do some changes in ResidentFlash\IPAQ\NAV\Data.zip
Follow the instructions by artlov Replied on: 04/01/2009 11:06:02
"It's simple:
1. Find data.zip in \Residentflash\iPAQ\Nav
2. Open it and edit file ui_hp_sagan\common\ui\start.ui
3. Find 'script sc_ExitToOasis'
4. Replace 'HP_BACK_TO_OASIS' with 'EXIT' in this script."
I've done the changes in my nav software. Good luck. don't be lazy, find some challenge in it for yourself. |

ok i went around (workaround) the bitmap problem, and got stuck When trying to wedge the elevation onto the cockpit, using other methods.
but these script items look funkey, see anything in them that would cause them to not work? or require other definitions somwewhere else?

i dont really care if there is goofy stuff in there, i just cant get either script item to work when placed within other layers, the house numbers script worked in those same layers. so i ASSUME its the goofey stuff that has it failing, instead of the goofy me :-) it only takes ONE letter to be wrong, and web formatting doesnt always help either.

i tried the Super G stunt trial and it worked too, remember unless you have GAPI you must turn gapi off immediatally before running the game or you will be in the taskmanager trying to end it.
just use 2 Dlls from the HP games packs.
its a cute little easy to fly bi-plane, and it certannly isnt a flight sim, as you cant get usable instuments up. at least on the Superstunt thing the Location of the sylus (psudo buttons) is much better.
then i tried the bowling, its a little bit lame, but what the hey trials are free right, the golf misses a few main points but for "phone" golf its ok. every one of thier games worked so far.
it might be good to script the taskbar away , before any of the games run, then back again after exit, for playing them, that is easy enough with mort or something.
now the real trick, Rotate the screen, for bowling, beings its a long alley and not to wide, and the game slows down quite a bit, but it still plays.
then i tried many and many of them, seeing which ones are not as good. via TRIALs, the monster truck has the worst stylus interface, because psudo joystick is closer to center. other race games did not seem to have that issue.
because of the similarity of the game engine, the similarity of the games is also high. the mini chopper fight has Guns :-) guns adds a lot more action, the kayack is non-skill, because the grafics although 3d are cartooney the kayack is not sufficent even as a relaxer, subtract the action too.
the canada snow racing drives through trees a bit to easily, the feel of the race games is all highly similar, the more bumpy the road the better for lame interface, making the small motorbike interesting with its motocross selection.
it is hard to grasp the interfacing with speed, making the chopper (with guns), and bi-plane easiest to keep from bumping into nothingness.
the golf and bowling are ok, first game you pay $20 for, additionals you can get for $10. game Packs are not diverse.
the game group, doesnt seem to have a music expert in it :-) so all the music was pretty repetitive after a while, which is Fine, BUT you cant turn off the music without turning off the sound Effects :-( that is not so good.
soo most EVERY one of thier games TRIALS worked very well on the HP (that is great), most every one of them are about as usefull as the Flux thing that comes with the hp. i still am looking for a good casino game (in vga quality) and a RPG, but found these.
now i went and purchaced a few of them, and frill if none of the downloads work right, i am contacting the company to get ahold of the WMII download instead of whatever stuff they handed me at the stupid sales site. |

Psycogeek maybe x= y= z= w= not x= y= w= z= is the problem.
In your post above "leaving me with 1/2 a mod, and you know what will happen then.", what did you mean by that. When I exit fool screen mode, I'm getting top and bottom bars transparent with double buttons on them and if you touch date, time or speed, the new state is written on top of previous one, previous state does not disappear. |
