did you need icons with that? i have the shortcut for

CPU - "\windows\cputest.cpl"
light - "\windows\BKLCTL.cpl"
memory - ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,6?\windows\cplmain.cpl,-5070
SDformat - "windows\stguil.cpl"
sounds - ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,10?\windows\cplmain.cpl,-6100
time - ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,13?\windows\cplmain.cpl,-6300
the easy one GPS viewer
and the OTHER USB - ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,0?\windows\cplmain.cpl,-5075
i got a shortcuts "kit" off the web, for some other system, and most of the icon numbers weren't connected to the icons in the shell file thing :-( so i have connections to them (Working shorts), but didnt work out the icon yet.
there is a pattern here, and they said to just GUESS , and you would get them. so like you said you guess the 0-15 is the first number. and the last Numbers (which are all WRONG here) you find by using a resource hacker, and find out the proper number of the ICON resource within . . . umm the cplmain.cpl file, i assume.
it might be easier to USE what is up there ^ and just do a search on the web, and get a finished package, for CE5, whatever i found was not the correct system, but it was a good start. or how does the system connect them AND the icons? mabey its profiled in the registry?
---------------------------- i would rather Brick my machine than install net framework on it :-) nothing good can come of that . |

Thanks psycogeek. I've corrected and added shortcuts to the list. There are ready and tested on Ipaq shortcuts for control panel apps, if somebody needs for device customizing: PC Connection: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,0 Dialing properties: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,1 Keyboard: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,2 Password: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,3 Owner: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,4 Power Options: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,5 System: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,6 or ctlpnl.exe system.cpl Display: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,7 Mouse properties: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,8 Stylus properties: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,9 Volume Control: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,10 Input panel: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,11 Remove Programs: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,12 Date & Time: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,13 Certificates: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,14 Backlight Options: windows\ctlpnl.exe bklctl.cpl Bluetooth Manager (not scanable): windows\ctlpnl.exe bthpnl.cpl Network Connections: windows\ctlpnl.exe connpnl.cpl Usb Client Switch: windows\ctlpnl.exe cplswitch.cpl CPU Test: windows\ctlpnl.exe cpmtest.cpl Device Information: windows\ctlpnl.exe deviceinformation.cpl Regional & Language Settings: windows\ctlpnl.exe intll.cpl Storage Manager: windows\ctlpnl.exe stguil.cpl System Info: windows\ctlpnl.exe systeminfo.cpl
Simple things of course, but can spare a bit your time, when customizing. |

But IE still doesn't work like browser (only trying to download smth.from page). MioPocket has this already embedded in the package but no BBO. And all web-protocols handeled by Opera (check in the registry).

Hi! I just ordered my ipaq 314. I want to use it with MioPocket, as it seams to be a great solution to enhance the functionnalties of this device (great hardware).
I would just like to have some advice about installation : should i still follow the instructions given page 158: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=101001&whichpage=158
Or, considering that the last versions (V40/V41) of Miopocket include various bugfixes and updates concerning the ipaq*, should i simply install miopocket following a standard miopocket installation procedure?
*see changelog ( http://www.gpspassion.com/upload2/MioPocket%20Changelog.txt ) : - Added GAPI driver for the HP iPAQ 310 to MioAutoRun\Programs\GAPI for HPCs\Patches. - Added 800x480 skin (no more need for the separate patch).
Can anyone list all the problems/bugs that remain identified after installing the last verion of Miopocket and provide the links to the solutions (when available)? I've read a huge part of this topic, but it's difficult to differentiate the problems that are still up to date from the ones that are solved in the last versions of Miopocket, etc... so an updated sum-up would be great if an "expert user" can find a few minutes to build it. thx

Hi friends, at last i did it. Here is a new version of TouchLock, some improvements and finally is compatible with Windows CE 4.1+, allowing owners of old devices to use it.
***** CHANGE LOG *****
Changes from version 1.3.2 to 1.4: - improved: the program is now compatible with Windows CE 4.1 and greater, thus you can use in many more devices! - added: screen rotation configuration. If you have a device with a screen rotation different than 0, you can nou configure the program to do a rotated rendering. - added: a 320x240 example skin. - fixed: the TouchLock window (thanks to "rss08" from gpspassion forum) is finally (i hope) set always on top and you cannot move it accidentally dragging the title bar as before.
Bye, Bitblaster
Download from here: http://www.gpspassion.com/upload2/TouchLock_1.4.rar |

Mire; can you tell me why you choose BBO rather than Miopocket, to unlock your IPAQ 314? What are, according to you, the benefits of BBO, and it's limitations? |

Right, I'm having nothing but problems getting igo 8.3 to run on the IPAQ 314. I've stuck it in its entirety onto an SD card and then stuck Windows CE (CELAUNCHER.EXE) on the card so i can boot it up from the desktop and yet it fails with application errors.
Can anyone help? What is the CORRECT SYS.TXT to have in the igo 8.3 for the 314? And what mods do I need to make to the other files?
Thanks for any help- I've tried everything on here and nothing seems to want to work! |

BBO is simple in the installation and the tutorial is clear, but I can not install MioPocket on resident ...
The explanations are unclear and not adapted to Ipaq 310/314.
BBO works perfectly except Internet Explorer.
I reinstalled Bbo without the.reg of Opera after reset the registry, I copy the CE5 MioPocket, downloaded NETCFSetupv35.msi but still same. 310tx please help me :)
Sys TX for Igo, but you need a valid data.zip

All the simple you can do (at least if your usb link between ipaq and pc functioning): - restore manually or thru content manager old backup (if you made it of course before started experimentation), this will restore your main folder contents (residentflash\ipaq) - after experimentation probably registry corrupted, restore registry from you registry backup (of course if you made it before), if not then make hard reset (engineering menu 10, be extremly careful with this, read before present forum about hard reset risks), this restores factory registry settings - reboot, original Oasis system must work okay - copy just celauncher.exe to sd, nothing more not needed for simplest ce boot - reboot device - if ce booted okay, then copy or reinstall your igo - enjoy your igo
I replaced the original boot file, now Oasis not waist anymore time and sd not needed.. I'm booting Miopocket or ce straight from residentflash, also igo is installed here, sd not needed at all(of course you need device based licence, sd version of licence will get just error). I'm truly happy with my ipaq, after last Miopocket 41 update even wep encryption wlan works fine, not talki'n about other apps which works also good. Bought navigator, but now i have already ppc with navigation "option".
