HaCo,

Any chance you could just zip up your NoniGPS folder now? Then, I assume all you have to do is hit the main program executable?

I'd be glad to write the reg tweaks, if the registry setting you mentioned before is required, so that the program continues to function after a hard reset.

HaCo,

Thank you for your help! I've put a C230 package together and published it at http://c230.wordpress.com/2008/01/11/nonigpsplot-for-mio-c230/ with links to the author's site.

It would be awesome if we could get any of these tools running on our Mio: http://www.leobueno.net/

What do we need to get to it:
- Being able to unCAB CAB files properly (not manually, cause I don't see any folder structure in .000 file)
- Being able to see what .DLL files are needed (I found 'all' the .DLL files here in a ZIP file on the forum), this tool might help us http://www.dependencywalker.com/

This nonGPSPlot is not bad. I got it installed but have not played around a lot yet with it.

One thing i do hope that it has (it might but i might not know about) is diplaying heading and course on the compass layout right that of GPSimply program.

I think the program can read csv file, which is good since i have a csv file for airports and navaids.

We should start another thread called "Straight line navigation on C230"...

It enables you to properly unCAB on a normal XP station... :)

Thanks

GPS history: Garmin eMap + eMap [both broke] >> Magellan MAP410 > Garmin GPS'V' +
JensenNVX200 > Garmin Nuvi200 > Navigon 2100 > MIO C230 > Navigon7100!
Current GPSs: Garmin GPS'V' and Navigon7100!
Jensen & Mio use TA maps which suck in AL. Navigon is only good AIO with NavTeq

I have just published my unlock release 4. The biggest feature of this release is the SD card based unlock. Thanks to MoonBear, the unlock procedure is the easiest compared to previous releases. With more and more applications added to the package, a single desktop is not enough to hold all the applications. I created these desktops so that it's easy switch different desktops and it's also easy to add more desktops as needed. The Routes management has also been updated to switch MioMap skins (Mike FFI).

The purpose of unlocking Mio C230 is to run other Windows CE or PocketPC applications. People have reported running iGuidance which uses NavTeq maps. I don't think you can use Garmin's maps.

I have not tried it myself. If you search iGuidance on this forum, you can find a lot of discussions about it.
