If you have SmartPhone Link traffic running through Bluetooth, and drive into an area with HD Traffic coverage, the signal stops all together and simply waits for traffic. I rely on the SmartPhone Link since the HD traffic signal stops barely 20 miles outside of Chicago, and I am 35 miles north. The HD coverage is more extensive than the SmartPhone Link coverage when it is available, so I wish there was a way the unit would switch from one to the other as it became available. I called Garmin, they acknowledged they are aware of this and are working on the problem.

Here is an article that explains the problem I am having in depth...and it is from a year ago! Too bad it still exists with the 3597 :-(!

I ended up purchasing a non-traffic power cable and use the SmartPhone Link exclusively to bypass this issue. Has anybody else also had this problem?
