The new battery is thicker so the battery door won't work. You'd have to hold it together with tape.

Thanks. I asked the same question to tech support at semsons and I got
the following:
"Basically, RBT-2001 and RBT-2010 are identical except for the battery size.
You can use the RBT-2010 battery with RBT-2001 but your original cover
will not fit."

I am a bit confused... Will the battery fit and stay in place and work,
or it will not fit? Other possibility is that it will fit and work but it will
not stay in place so I need a new cover... Could someone confirm that?
Thanks a lot!

You would need the adapater kit, i.e. a new battery casing.

Hi, I have Royaltek RBT-2001 (I bought it last year) and I was wondering
if I can use your 17-hour battery with it. Thanks.

The only difference between the 2 is that ours has a battery that will last up to 17 hours while in use.
