Hello everyone, does Garmin online/store give you free tech support?Have anyone ever heard of crutchfield.com or purchase from this online store. I just need to know if this online store is reliable because they also offer free tech support on certain products you buy.
Thanks

No need to buy from Garmin to get Garmin support. Just be sure it is an authorized dealer, such as Amazon or GPS City.

Reading from the owners manual is their ridiculous definition of support. I will never again pay a premium to purchase from them since the reason I did was for the technical support. Too bad their so called technical support sucks!!!

Why would anybody expect different? Who is better to provide support than the manufacturers themselves? Not satisfied with Garmin's tech-support? If the company that makes the thing has awful support, why would you ever expect anyone from a retailer to have any more information and/or better support than the manufacturer does?

After-market support and warranty services are designed for one purpose - to make money; period.

All Garmin products purchased from Authorized Garmin Dealers or Garmin itself, of course, are covered by a 1 year warranty and free support is available 5 days a week by phone or email for as long as you own the device. Units purchased from non authorized dealers, or internet auction sites, like E-Bay, may not be covered by warranty or receive Garmin support.

Crutchfield.com has been around for a fairly long time. Never bought anything from them so don't know much about them.

crutchfield.com has been in business many years, and have excellent customer support should an item be defective.

However their technical online or telephone support is worthless. I purchased an expensive TV from them and had a technical question. They were actually reading from the owners manual just like I was. They were no help because the owner's manual did not address my problem.

Reading from the owners manual is their ridiculous definition of support. I will never again pay a premium to purchase from them since the reason I did was for the technical support. Too bad their so called technical support sucks!!!
