Posted - 23 avr. 2010 : 18:23:13 I've been in the market for a new GPS for almost a year now. When I started looking for a new GPS I found the Endura series that Lowrance was planning on putting on the market soon. I was really excited the Sierra model because of the highly detailed topo maps that supposedly came with it, the turn-by-turn directions that you could add on, and the feature that shows you an elevation graph of a route that you have selected.
I've since read many negatives about the Sierra so I'm not sure if its wise decision to go for that one. Its still hard to find up-to-date reviews for the Endura series.
Do you all know of any other GPS units that can have 24k topo maps, turn-by-turn directions, and possibly the elevation graph of a route?
My planned uses are geocaching, hiking unestablished trails (the elevation graph would help to show me how steep my planned route will be), motorcycling (I can build some sort of umbrella/sunscreen over the screen to block some sun probably), vehicle navigation (turn-by-turn directions would be handy), and lastly just general use.
