Firmware of 3790 Sg/Mal has many different points from US firmware.
I don't know why garmin don't make the same firmware.
See this.
- Display POIs Icon on map.
- Scale and compass at the left lower coner.
 
POIs Icon Setting
 
- You can speed up (simulation).
- HighWay Mode
-Display road name you are driving on.
Junction View Display setting + example of half screen JCV.
 
Tell you it is TTS Voice or not.

Please, just a question...
When trying to flash Taiwan firmware on 3790T US on near past the GPS just did boot-loop.
This version of Taiwan firmware, now is it work fine? Have some tips to work?

How to enable "Scooter" as a transportation mode on the TWN firmware
For now, it seems only the TWN firmware has this ability. I did not find it in the US or CHN firmware
1- Create a folder called "Debug" in the .System folder.
2- Create an empty file called "Scooter" in the Debug folder.
In short, you need to have the file Scooter here: \.System\Debug\Scooter
Once done, reboot and you will see "Scooter" in the Transportation Mode. |

More info ::
- TSM map for 270 is locked for your 270 only.
- If you need map for 37xx US ., you need to buy the other one from ESRI.
- ESRI won't sell JCV for 37xx US.
- All of 37xx can use "Lane info (which lane)"
- None can use JCV.(only Thai firmware can display Thai jcv)

Not exactly what I was looking for.  I have purchased the map and it works fine on my nuvi 270, but this model doesn't have Lane Assist or Junction View. Now I would like to install it to the new 3790, and know that LA and JV still won't work unless using Thai firmware. You can't buy Thai firmware, and no one will install it for me, only units bought here in Thailand. |

SiamMarine, have you tried installing the Thai firmware on your 3790? I will receive my new 3790T from the US, and would like to use Thai firmware so that I can use JV, Lane Assist, and 3D Buildings here in Thailand and Bangkok. Have you are anyone tried this? I would like to use ERSI Thailand v.11.1 maps. |

Exif photo usable.
I got the exif photo from GarminAsus M10 and put them into 3790.
This is different between US & Sg/My firmware.
With Sg/My 2.30 :: I can use exif photo for navigation.
- Tools--> Picture Viewer --> You will see white arrow on exif photo.
- Press on photo --> display photo with "pin" sign indicate for navigation.
- Press on "pin" --> you will see map page with "Go!"

No white arrow on exif photo. !

3790 Sg/My firmware + Sg/My map --> available both options for JCV display setting. (full & half screen)
And you will see the Lane-assist function while full screen JCV pic appear.
You can see.

Just wondering how the Trip Planner function works on the Sg/Mal system.
Is it the same as the rest of the world or does it show time/distance details for the final location?
Has anyone contacted Garmin with a 'They have it so can we get it' type request? |

I just used to go back with 2.50 ., not 3.60 yet.
But I guess we can do it with 3.60 too.
Do someone has this experience ?
