They are likely based on the Navteq Q4/2009 release (it seems Garmin are only one quarter behind Navteq since the 2010.30 maps) you can share any differences you spot with the previous maps below. |

Although Garmin never announce when map updates will be released, I believe I saw a copy of an e-mail recently that indicated they were expecting a new version by the end of April.
Another email I've seen indicated May 6th. Does sound a little too specific for Garmin. |

Posted - 12 avr. 2010 : 01:38:54 I just checked MyGarmin, and the 2011.10 are NOT available yet. (I have a lifetime sub).

Posted - 11 avr. 2010 : 17:28:54 They maybe on newly manufactured devices but I'm sure if they were available for download there would have been many posts here, and elsewhere, to that effect. In the past, Garmin has manufactured devices with the latest version of CN on them prior to the download being available to current Nuvi owners. |

Posted - 08 avr. 2010 : 12:45:02 It can take NavTeq up to a year to compile, verify and test a quarterly update, I believe. It's possible they have 2 or more quarterly releases in the pipeline at once but the one that gets released was started 2 or 3 quarters ago while the next couple are in earlier stages of their cycle. Even after released it takes clients (GPS manufacturers) up to a year to test and release these updates to the public. It should not be a surprise then to see a reported and verified roadway re-alignment take as much as 2 years to appear in a GPS manufacturers map update.
If you wait for NavTeq's "elves" to find the change in somewhere like a new housing development on their own, it could be several years. Major highways are usually 1-2 years from first report to appearance in manufacturers map updates. |

Posted - 08 avr. 2010 : 06:16:58 I've seen Navteq take > 1 year for updates.
It depends on their workload.

Posted - 08 avr. 2010 : 04:49:10 Does anyone know how long it takes NavTeq to process an update? I have an open Map Reporter ticket from back in August 2009 that is still open. Actually, only one of my error reports lists as closed/accepted -- an Aug 23 2009 report of I-275 in Tampa being re-aligned on a more southerly path that took out a few local roads. Everything else is still open. I'd agree with the others that it seems to take too long for verification on this, especially when there's the additional delay of porting the NavTeq maps to Garmin's format. |

I'm thinking the update will be in April. Since you already have used your Nuvi, I would mark on the calendar when your 60 days are up and download the update, whether it be 2010.40 or 2011.1 before your 60 days is up. |

Posted - 02 mars 2010 : 01:43:58 Do not know if this is a Nuvi 760 issue or a Map 2010.40(I think so)issue, on our way back from Fla to NC we hit a tremendous backup on I95 in SC, as we were coming upon an exit, I decided to hit the detour button. Had my wife keep pushing the detour button, as it wanted me to make a U-Turn , finally it quit telling me to make a U-Turn. Thought I was on my way home..then BAM.,the detour took me in a huge circle and back to I95 in the same mess. Thinking back on it, I probably should have not hit that detour buttom after the 1st time. |

Posted - 02 mars 2010 : 00:07:27 Welcome to our forum arrow201.
Navteq.com, which has the very latest maps, still shows 410 ending at Mayfield. Since the Nuvi maps are at least one quarter behind the newest Navteq version, I wouldn't hold out much hope that the 410 extension will be in 2010.40 or even the next release.
Also, just to be clear, you have 60 days after your 1390T first obtained a satellite lock to update your maps for free. So if you took the Nuvi out of the box when you first got it and let it obtain a lock then you have 60 days from that date. |
