Hello, one oft most actual GPS-Trackers currently is the "TK102" from company XEXUN in China. This unit is offered at relatively low prices and by using a lot of different product names ( e.g. via EBAY ). Inside is a GPS/GSM-Modul "MC55" or "MC56" from SIEMENS with using SIRF3 GPS-Receiver chips. Simply the "TK102" can respond to polling calls, but it also can be configured for sending in certain time intervals or after moving. Besides this there also is a geo-fence mode and a way for listening to it's build in microphone. Reply messages can via SMS or GPRS.
I am just doing my first steps with "TK102" and up to now only did test it's SMS functions. Polling so far did run without problems, but i found, there ONLY was a reply in case "TK102" did have an actual GPS-Fix. Nevertheless also invalid positions seem to be stored within it's memory, because when pushing the SOS-Button while there is no FIX, the Tracker is sending it with being marked as OLD messages ( signal:L ). It would be interesting for me to hear about this behaviour and general experiences with "TK102" also from others.
Klaus

Posted - 02 mai 2013 : 10:15:23 If the led is flashing quickly all the time, that means the tracker is not registering correctly on the GSM network. Did you remove the PIN code from the SIM cards, and have you checked that they work ok on a mobile phone? |

I am new to the forum. A little background. I have the tk-102 and I have set it up and it seems to work execpt that when I call the tracker it returns an sms without the lon or lat, in other words it doesn't work. when I send check and password it always returns. Battery: 100%, GPS" off, GPRS: off The question is how do I turn on the GPS?? Regards John
I've heard of versions that needed to be called twice in a row to "wake up" from a "deep sleep" mode, could it be the case for yours? |

My question is regarding the purchase of a SIM card for the TK102 I just purchased on Ebay. I am in the USA and am having trouble finding a Cell service provider that sells a SIM card that is compatible with the TK102. Can those of you from the USA give some suggestions on what SIM cards you have purchased and what the cost is? Thanks.

Posted - 24 déc. 2012 : 06:35:00 Good news for TK-102-2 owners! YunTracking – free platform (iPhone app + web) for xexun/coban trackers.
Are you still looking for a stable and free online GPS tracking service? Now our “YunTracking” service is online and open for enrollment. You can go to app store and download “YunTracking” app for free, or go to http://www.yuntracking.com/TrackerWeb for a web-interface.
What you need: 1. A Xexun TK-102-2 (or clone) tracker. 2. Install app “YunTracking” from app store (of course, you need an iPhone or iPad). 3. Send me an email xinkai@stracking.com so I can add your IMEI into white list. 4. When you register new user, remember to choice “us.main” as your “HomeServer”, the corresponding reporting IP will be 216.86.147.11 port 3023. 5. Go to “Friends” --> “+” --> ”Register new device (hardware tracker)”, to register a new tracker device.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
