Posted - 05 févr. 2009 : 02:05:33 I created 5 routes on my computer, downloaded them to the Nuvi and received a 'Download Complete" message. However, when I tried to find them, only one was there. I assumed that they would have been stored on the 2GB SD card I use but checked and it was empty. I repeated the download with the same result. I them put the card in a card reader/writer, downloaded all 5 routes to the card, checked that they were on the card, replaced the card in the unit but still could not find the routes. What is happening and what am I doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

Posted - 05 févr. 2009 : 19:58:24 I've TRANSFERRED as many as 50 routes at one time to my 760, but usually only imported one at a time. but I think it will handle multiple imports.

Posted - 05 févr. 2009 : 19:20:14 I have only ever imported one at a time also. I know on the 7x0 series there is an option to Select and Import All Routes but since I have only created one at any one time, I've never used the Select All option.

Posted - 05 févr. 2009 : 17:20:18 Seems to me I read the same thing elsewhere. I have imported routes on my 5000, but only one at a time so I can't say for sure.

Posted - 05 févr. 2009 : 15:31:58 First of all, I did create the routes with MapSource on the computer.
Well I have some limited success. After posting I tried again to get to the routes. They were indeed stored on the card from when it was in the card writer. But I could not open them in the unit. I then downloaded one route at a time, and after downloading a single route I could import it Then I would download another route, import it as Rick said and then on to the next route. Does not seem the right way but it worked. Do not understand why I cannot download several routes and them import them instead of doing one at a time.

Posted - 05 févr. 2009 : 03:32:55 I'm confused about the "Download Complete" message. How did you create the routes? Did you use mapsource? I am not sure whether routes can be stored on the SD card,. When I have done this with mapsource, I connect my Nuvi 5000 to my computer and use the Transfer command to send the routes.
Then, after restarting the Nuvi, you need to do as Rick describes: Menu > Tools >My Data > Import. After this the route should be available for use.

Posted - 05 févr. 2009 : 02:25:04 On other Nuvi's (not sure about the 5000) after you download the routes you need to go to Tools-My Data-Import Route from File and select all or some of the routes listed before you will see them.
