Posted - 24 juil. 2004 : 01:52:07 well see what size battery they jammed in there. Lately Palm on some of thier models have really wimped out with low watt batteries and resulting in around 3 hours of life.

Posted - 24 juil. 2004 : 00:20:19 That battery rating sounds super optimistic! ;-) By "Bluetooth" are you referring to my comment? What I meant is that with the addition of an SDIO (SD only on the 3600) you can now use Bluetooth and WiFi SD cards, although Palm drivers might be an issue for WiFi, Bluetooth shoud be OK.
Posted - 23 juil. 2004 : 23:53:04 Street price is probably about $425. The Smaller Res would not bother me, its higher then my SP.
It bascally brings the unit in line with with Pocket PC all in ones. It seems that Garmin wants to be in virtually every market possible.
I wonder if they will update the big brother the 3600.
I did not see the bluetooth in the specs... The battery is rated 16 days @ 30 minutes a day which I guess is about 8 hours:)
Not sure if thats with the GPS active. Still I figure a solid 5 to 6 hours, a marked improvement over the 1 to 2 hours for the 3600.

Posted - 23 juil. 2004 : 23:25:46 Actually with the improved battery life and SDIO capability (Bluetooth and WiFi cards), it is pretty exciting...until you see the resolution going from 320x480 to 320x320 :-(
