But, after reinstalling my windows I can't get the English voice with tts (speak street names). Can any one help me with this problem? Thanks all. also how to add new voice with tts ?

\GarminMobilePC\Voice\English_American_.vpm
If it's there is should show up in the list of languages in Audio.

Posted - 07 mai 2008 : 04:19:20 I test speech on my computer and it works fine. Just could get it to work on garmin mobile pc. Anyway thanks for for help. I will try other software and see.

Posted - 06 mai 2008 : 11:39:57 It does. TTS works just fine here - no issues on my setup when I run it on XP or Vista.
First look into Windows Control Panel => Speech, to see if TTS works on your computer. There should be a button "Test" (or something similar) to test the feature.

Posted - 03 mai 2008 : 12:17:18 XP comes with speech engine, so there really is no need for Garmin to install speech engine again. Try to uninstall, and then install the program again.

Posted - 03 mai 2008 : 02:37:20 In the garmin software under the option audio. Does the voices come with the maps or witht he software itself? Occording to the program it says it can speak street name for englsih, but I can't find that voice in the software.
