Posted - 13 janv. 2008 : 16:20:25 EDIT BY GPSPASSION 20100506 : Since this came up in a search, the "Swiss Knife of GPS Files", i.e. GPS Babel will convert any non-encrypted gpi file (so that means created with POI-Loader) to any desired format, such as .ov2, .csv, .asc, etc...
Original Post : I found a GPI file of the Walt Disney World area in Orlando. I want to edit this file and add in some of my own info. What do I need to convert a GPI formated file into something I can edit? Say an excel file or something? Thanks, Dan. |

You can make another GPI with additional points in and load many GPI files onto your unit at once even if both points are in the same area.
If you want to modify the information about the original points you'll need the data that went into them. Technically I can turn the GPI file back into a GPX file for you, but I will do that only if you can explain how you once had, but have now lost, the original information. And yes, I can tell which GPI files were made using POI Loader and which ones were made with professional tools. |
