Hi, I recently bought Navigon Canada 310, one of 2xxx devices, without a charger, for almost a nickle. I thought that it could be used with just any car charger I buy for 5-10e. And than I bought a charger. Now, every time I plug it in my device, it shows me USB screen, just like it is on usb cable. Since there is no Navigon store in Serbia, and I don't intend to order it and pay 30e for a shipping, I would like to know if there's a way to modify the cable, or to turn ActiveSync mode on the device. I tried to install MioPocket, which has an option to switch from mass storage to ActiveSync, but, apparently, this option doesn't work on my Navigon, as it still shows USB screen and it still connects to a computer as a mass storage device. Is there a solution for this? Cheers |

Hi...i am new both to this forum and to the country..i bought a Navigon 2100 from E-Bay when i switched it on it showed a password window (four digit) i called up navigon and they said i need the proof of purchse and the guy from whom i bought it is not replying..any suggestions? will i be able to use it or my money is down the drain? |

I am looking to change the color of the button or draw which shows the name of the next street you will be turning onto at the bottom of the GPS. Which file is this in the programing of the unit? Please reply as soon as possible. Thank you. |

Back_TMC and Back_TMC-no-route files of Cajnape's Firefighter MN6 are off centered on the writing when a Traffic Advisory comes in and you check the advisory's by clicking on the triangle (TMC) to bring up the advisory's. Can anyone send a copy of the tables that are in front of the background picture as the ones that I have are not transparent enough to see the background picture that I am going to use instead of the picture that is in the firefighter MN6 file? I am going to use a picture of one of the Fire Trucks in my Department for one of the files and a Fire image in the other. Please reply as soon as possible. Thank you.
FIRE.png is one of the files I want to use. If you want to see the image let me know. |

I have tried following this thread since I got my Navigon in December. Seems many posts have been deleted and I am having a real hard time piecing things together.
If anyone would be willing to be patient and help me out, I would really appreciate it.
I am interested in 1) a new skin 2) Hardwiring the unit in my Escape.

Is there any way that I can run my Navigon 7100 software installed on SD card and now I want to run on Mio C310x is that possible..
I did following:
1. I install navigon 7100 software on SD card
2. No I want to start that software using C310x is that possible.

Yes, the traffic activation card from Amazon will work on 2100.
Unlocking could affect TMC functionality. However, there are workarounds.
I have released a unlock package using miopocket+TMC patch for the 2100.
TMC will work with Navigon using my release.
However, if you do install other GPS software with TMC, they will not work. I have not heard of anyone getting TMC to work on a Navigon using other GPS software.(not in the US anyway)

One of the main reasons why I purchased the Navigon 2100 was for its TMC functionality. I saw traffic routing in action on some other gps unit in a rental car (Maybe tom-tom?) and I was really impressed. I've begun shopping around for the traffic activation and think I'm going to go with this: http://www.amazon.com/Navigon-10000250-Traffic-Activation-Service/dp/B000WY1Q5M/. My question is this: if I were to purchase that particular activation card from Amazon, would it work on my Navigon 2100? Would unlocking my Navigon have any impact on whether or not the traffic continues to work? There have been quite a few topics/replies about people's TMC functionality not working and I'd like to get the whole story prior to purchasing from Amazon. |

I have just bought a 2100 maxx and was trying to take a backup of the SD card to PC but somehow I cannot backup my *.map files, anybody has any idea where those files are? |

Also if you have POI-Warner installed then you can easily switch between PDA and Navigation so it's becomes fully working PDA device.
First you have to follow directions and create shortcuts on the desktop of the PDA to be able to find everything easily, including link to original "autorunce_ORIG.exe" so you can start Navigon directly. Very usefull tool to rotate screen also helpful. TaskManager and CECmd - put them on the desktop as well. Make sure that you have the settings for "autohide" on Taskbar unchecked. Now you are ready to roll. When you start your Navigon from desktop you will always see the green or red button of POI_Warner. You have option to put it in certain corner and I found that left upper works best - no interfearance with anything. When you touch the green square you will see the task bar on a bottom. Never quit POI_Warner, otherwise you will not be able to get there. Also sometimes the big grey switchboard comes up - just click on "Switch to POI_Warner" and you will be able to see the desktop again. Sometimes taskbar is on a bottom but doesn't let you see anything else. Always switch back to POI_Warner.
I hope this might help somebody.

NOOB here. I have a 2100 and wanted to add a map. Can I simply copy and paste the map into the SD card in the root directory where "USA 48 Contigious States.map" file is? Will the unit recognize it? Any advice on how to add a map?

How are you shutting down your 2100? Soft push of the button or hard reset push of the button? If you get the error all you need to do is use a push pin or something small like that and push in the reset button on the left side of the unit and it will reboot back into CE and all should be fine...

I'm using Cajnape's stripped-down "can opener" on my 2100. However, whenever I turn the unit on after shutting it off, I get a fatal application error and it often tells me that the SD card has been removed. Any way to get rid of these errors? |

hey guys - any idea why the can opener doesnt work on my 2100 max? It throws a fatal application error on explorer.exe. I think my version of Win CE (5) is the same... any ideas? I can't get active sync to work and i can't get into the OS or settings to tweak it. help!!!! :) |
