Hello, I bought the new Mio c520t. It is really a good thing, but i want to unlock it to use it for other things like a PDA.
Can anyone tell me how to unlock it?

Hi, All
Its been a long time since I unlocked a c520. I have a customized c520 I skinned and tweaked and have gotten another one and want to duplicate my current to it.
Thing is I forgot how to unlock and all that lies beyond that. I would enjoy donating you a few beers money if any of you could tell me the steps?
I just want to duplicate all I have done on my original Mio to the new/used one I picked up.

hello all
well ... i probebly made a huge mass with my c520 .
i chnge the config file and reboot the c520.
now the gps is stuck on the orange mio strat up screan and do nothing , farther more the computer isnt recognize it .
any help will be appreciated. |

Anyone know anybody that could unlock my Mio C520? After I updated it wth the mio updated disc, I cannot unlock the unit. At this point in time I am even willing to pay somebody a reasonable Fee. I almost have no hair left! |

Hi all.
Hoping for some help here.
Trying to unlock an Israeli Mio C520 by following the instructions.
I do not have an SD card (and that's not my GPS, it's my dad's so doubt he'll want to buy a card for that) so i am going the flash memory method.
However, when i plug the GPS via USB to my comp it does not mount so i can't see replace or modify any files on it.
Am i doing something wrong? How can i fix this situation.

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't have to do with MioPocket. Try re-formatting your card with Extras\Win32\SD Formatter in the MioPocket distribution, then copying R61 and, finally, applying this MortScript patch. |

hi
i tried to run miopocket 4 on my mio c520. i tried it with th sd card and all i get when i reboot is a blue screen with a heading called
MANTAS_415A4320_UT_R18_0129 MLC 1C
0=WINCE Upgrade
1=GPS Tools
2=BT Tools
3=UBOOT Upgrade
4=Memory Tools
5=Other Tools
Choice:0
When I press the power button it selects a menu item and or goes to another menu screen with options.
If I pull the sd card out reboot the mio then plug the sd card in nothing happens. I also go to file manager where it shows my sd card.
When I click on it all I see are the folders Namely
DATA
HELP
MAPS
Name search
PSymbols
Sound Files
Symbols
Sysyem Data
gpslog
I cannot see the root files.
Please help
I had a c520 previously and it got stolen but i used to run miopocket 2 on it with NO problem. |

Is it me or is this fuzz about nothing? I have just unlocked a mio c520t here, only by adding a call in mioautorun.scp , I redirected that to one of the basic shell tools i tend to use a lot(CEmenu) and that worked for me. |

i bought c520, euro model without video player.
It has mio map v3.3 (Apr 16 2007) inside , and im tried everything to unlock it...no luck.
Looking for little help...anybody?
It works now!
Fresh SD card was key to success!
