TomTom have just announced their results for Q2 and the growth is strong! You can listen in on the detailed comments of Harold Goddijn, TomTom's CEO, and Marina Wyatt, TomTom's CFO, in this multimedia presentation given to financial analysts yesterday. A lot of interesting data about TomTom but also on the GPS market and how they view where the US GPS market is going.

Quite some news this week-end with the succesful IPO of TomTom in Amsterdam last Friday, with a valuation at the close of nearly 2 billion euros. The company sold 26.7 million shares at €17.50 each for total proceeds of €467 millions, with €117 million going to the company for the news shares issued and €350 million to management who was selling an aggregate of 20 million shares.

The numbers are staggering, but congratulations to who saidthat this will allow them to continue their growth and new product development.

Good question, not sure if there are online brokers that deal with overseas trading.

Unfortunately, they do not trade on NASDAQ or other American exchanges.
Pretty darn silly of them.

Anyone knows how the best way (i.e. least hassle) to trade on Amsterdam SE?

On a realted note, Taiwan SE is of interest too.

It did look as an unusual move at the time, but it seems that the numbers are making it worthwhile for those who bought at the time ;-)

Strange that most of the 'collected' money flows out the company. In investment terms this means in my opinion not a good deal. Don't buy them now, since most shares are currently held by major investors and they want to sell them with profit a little later. If you want to buy those share do it later when the price drops.

Grtz,

Jan
