According to news on the 'net, Tomtom are just about to release a version of their navigation software for Android smartphones.
Yes, I know, we also heard this about 3 years ago too...
I wonder if they are simply too late now to get a decent market share, as some of the alternatives seem to be very good.

Although TomTom states only screen resolution up to 854x480 are supported, inbetween one guy reportet that TomTom also perfectly runs at 960x540 (tested with HTC EVO 3D), another guy reported it works at 1280x800 (tested with Galaxy Note N7000) screens, too.
I've tried TomTom at 1024x600: OK.

I have been reading up on this. I am wondering if it will work on our Motorola Defy smartphones. Since it doesn't look like Garmin will every offer StreetPilot Onboard for Android, this might be the next best thing!

The tomotm app is not compatible on devices with higher resolution screens right now.

Good catch, one thing is certain the release date of TomTom for Android has never been closer ;-)

Haste makes waste...Rome wasn't built in a day...

As I've read, an tablet optimized version will not give it for the time being.
