Posted - 02 mai 2012 : 17:06:30 It appears that City Navigator Europe 2013.10 was released earlier today, at least the Map Viewer on the Garmin Website now shows it in place of 2012.40.
I understand that City Navigator 2013.10 North America has been loaded on the Garmin servers so it should be available later this week or early next.
UPDATE - City Navigator Europe 2013.10 is available for download - Confirmed. |

If you downloaded the map update to your computer only and then used Mapsource or MapInstall to place the maps on your device, this process does not update the JVC file or any of the other files mentioned by dasilvarsa in his prior post (ASR, G2S, etc.).

Posted - 04 juin 2012 : 15:14:50 It is intended to come along with the update when you download it. I find that it accounts for some of the "mystery" period in which the process seems to be finished or hung up, near the end, so don't interrupt it until it really says it's done.
However, if your GPS does not have enough room, the JCV file may not be downloaded and/or a smaller one substituted, hence the requests here for a link to the separate download.

Posted - 31 mai 2012 : 09:13:11 Before updating you can backup your GPS and Your memory Card. That way you can retain the previous versions of all your maps. All Map files in garmin GPS have the extension .IMG Depending on your GPS you might have supplemental files as well. These are .JCV .ASR .G2S and are asssociated with a particular mapset.

Posted - 31 mai 2012 : 04:55:18 I updated to the 2013.10 release and the previously installed 2012.4 set of maps is no longer on my 2460. I don't recall any options to retain the previous release on the device so it sounds like there was a problem. Perhaps downloading the 2013.1 set again might help. |

Posted - 30 mai 2012 : 13:44:38 I updated to 2013.10 and noticed the 2012.4 was still on the 2460. It gave me the check boxes to show or not on both. I thought it would of deleted it. What happens down the line when installing further updates?

Posted - 11 mai 2012 : 21:08:06 Rick,
I'm puzzled.
The JCV file you link to is 757 MB and its file name is D3060040A.JCV. The file that the updater installed on my zumo (which has 4 GB of storage, so it should select the largest available JCV file) is called D3060060A.JCV and weighs in at 794 MB.

Posted - 11 mai 2012 : 16:36:30 Is it possible the different JCVs to be downloaded and for CNEurope? Are there such link as the one for NA?
Thanks, |

Posted - 11 mai 2012 : 15:06:37 @NanaimoRick: Some Canadian info in addition to what you found... In the Toronto/GTA region, there is speed limit data for the DVP, QEW, 404, 407, 409, 410. Elsewhere in Ontario, 402, 405, 416. Still no data for Allen Rd, 406... |

Posted - 11 mai 2012 : 13:47:27 @cheezz From my recent post:
Rather than spend all that time downloading the map again, you can copy the new map from your PC to a USB drive , and then into the receiving PC (or copy via wireless lan). Plug your Nuvi into the receiving PC and unlock the map online. It only has to be unlocked once to be usable in both MapSource and BaseCamp. Locations of the maps in various Windows versions are:
Win 7 and Vista: C:\Program Data\Garmin\Maps Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Garmin\Maps
