Posted - 02 nov. 2011 : 17:31:35 Running 680/2011.40 beside 1695/2012.20 from suburbs north of Mobile AL to west side of Mobile. The 680 pointed me to a shortcut I had been considering while the 1695 said stay on I-65. The route was OK in the daylight but your life and front end alignment would be in danger after dark. The 1695 agreed with my wife that I should get back on familiar ground but the routing was just nuts. Returning last night from Saraland, the 680 says turn left at light, drive 70 miles, arrive at home-OK. The 1695 says go straight through the light into subdivision surrounded by Bayou Sara, make a circle and stop- |

Posted - 10 oct. 2011 : 06:55:00 Has anyone noticed that some directions are way off since upgrading? For example, we wanted directions to the Stratosphere in Las Vegas but we went through Industrial Road to a backlane and never ended up where the map said the hotel would be.quote: Originally posted by maplant1

Posted - 16 août 2011 : 15:28:34 @sussamb,
Thanks. That did the trick. I was trying to use the new Lifetime Updater, but that wasn't doing what I wanted. Going back to the old way to update maps gave me a chance to reinstall. |

Posted - 14 août 2011 : 15:13:51 On my zumo 660, the 2012.20 update came with a slightly larger JCV file, but no dramatic differences I can find yet. There's still only one J-view on a route to NYC, which seems pretty lame. I am downloading the larger JCV file that supposedly runs on zumo 660s and will report in that topic when I test it.

Posted - 13 août 2011 : 19:08:48 My nüvi 660 had the map space issues as well, so I installed the lower 49 set. I found some things to erase, and now I want to try again, but I can't seem to get the map updater to let me add more. Anyone know how to do this? |

Posted - 13 août 2011 : 12:03:08 resolved, the map should not be greater than 2GB, whether higher card |

Posted - 09 août 2011 : 09:15:33 Well if your card wasn't formatted to FAT32 that was the issue, as that is what the nuvi expects. |

Rick, I understand and do not have problems with it. But I did try two different SD cards and every time the Nuvi booted and accessed the SD card it simply shut down. I tried 4GB and brand new 2GB card. Same results.
Any idea what could be the culprit?
continued :Problem fixed. I formated the card in W7 64b to FAT32 and used Mapsource to create map image and send it to SD card. This time it worked. No sure what helped formating or creating map image.

Posted - 08 août 2011 : 19:02:04 I have found after upgrading to 2012.20 and after creating a custom avoidance on my 2460LMT, the unit shuts down when you try to access any of the avoidances on the list. This is a repeatable problem. Has anyone else had this issue? Performing a master reset will delete the avoidances and "fix" the issue. I will be contacting Garmin about this.

Posted - 08 août 2011 : 15:35:49 When I tried to download the NA update, I was informed that I did not have enough space on my Nuvi. Never had a problem before. I deleted many unnecessary language files and tried again. I settled on the lower 49 map. Any ideas? |
