Posted - 11 juil. 2012 : 04:21:54 When I turn on my Nuvi 205w a screen pops up that says "No detailed maps found that support routing. The nuvi cannot be used without them." I read that the unlock code was not added in the program, so I went through the steps to do this & it is still not working. I have also reset the nuvi. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

When I go to the tools, settings, map info the map info button is not highlighted so that I can press this option. The last map update was from Garmin in 2010. The battery died & this just started coming up this way.

Posted - 11 juil. 2012 : 15:23:23 Well, assuming the OP did get them from Garmin and both those files are present, also go to Tools, Settings, Map, Info and ensure the map shows there and that it is checked. If not check the box!

Posted - 11 juil. 2012 : 15:08:33 Have you checked to see if the map and unlock code is present on your Nuvi 205W? To do so, if using Windows, open up the Nuvi drive and see if the files are present. Ther should be two files in the Garmin directory. gmapprom.img gmapprom.unl
I'm assuming the map update was done at the Garmin site. If both above mentioned files are present, call Garmin support and they will help you.
