Posted - 14 mars 2011 : 00:57:20 I want to sell my Street Pilot 2720. It has old version 8 maps on it. Can I tell potential buyers that they can purchase the Garmin Lifetime Map Updates for the unit?
I am not sure whether the Lifetime update subscription works with the 2720. I'm also not sure whether only the original owner of the GPS unit can buy the lifetime updates.
I don't want to mislead potential buyers, so I would appreciate any information you can provide. Thanks.

Posted - 17 mars 2011 : 20:45:55 I think the confusion (on my part) is that the more recent maps from Garmin are designated "NT" and my SP 2610 can't use those and I lumped the 2600 and 2700 series Street Pilots together. It appears the 2720 can use the NT maps. Sorry for the misinformation.

Posted - 17 mars 2011 : 16:20:58 I have a 2720 gps with garmin lifetime map update since 2009 and have no problem updating. just make sure to delete your garmin registration with Garmin so that the new owner can register it and be able to get software update and purchase map updates.

Posted - 14 mars 2011 : 02:59:54 Are you sure the last update was a few years back? I have read on this site someone put the 2011.3 maps on theirs and on another site someone put the 2011.4 maps on theirs.
