Posted - 13 févr. 2011 : 23:54:11 Hi Guys:
I friend of mind had his Iway 500C power adapter die on him. Does any one in this group have a spare one they would sell? Does any one know where we might find one?
Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Ken

Yes it is the 12 volt power adapter that has the speaker in it and it plugs into the Cig. lighter for power in the truck.
He has the 110V to 12V power supply. T%hanks

Posted - 14 févr. 2011 : 01:48:22 Sorry; I misunderstood what you were asking. The iWay's indoor AC power supply is what I thought you were talking about. It uses a cigarette lighter socket and you use your own speaker/cigarette-lighter plug.
I actually have a spare lighter-plug/speaker which is only missing the screw-in fuse-holder and fuse. It's buried somewhere but I could probably find it if necessary.
Are you sure it's the power cord/speaker and not the unit itself that's failed?

Thanks for the quick rely.
Could you give me thr pin-out arrangement for the iWay 500c. If I find a 12V adapter that fits the bill .. will I need to splice it into the older cable?
Thanks for any advice.

Posted - 14 févr. 2011 : 00:33:12 Any 12-14 volt power supply capable of providing 2000 MAh of current should work. I prefer a regulated one but it's common to find inexpensive ones marked 12 volts which actually put out quite a bit more so be careful.
