Got S&T 2010 with 168 gps and will not install on Windows 7 64 bit. My older unit from S&T 2008 does. Any secrets? Thanks.

Tried all that, still not recognizing this receiver. I have the old receiver from 2008 which works with 2010, but feel I wasted money buying the new complete package.

It could likely be a variety of reasons. Try reading the following:

GPS Locator not detected by Microsoft Streets and Trips

If you are in a hurry, start reading from the last post on the first page (the post #15 by Larry of Microsoft).

Tried that, still not recognized. (2 computers using Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit)Found this: "Also, be aware that neither the Pharos iGPS 500 device nor the Navation GPS 168 device runs on Windows XP 64-bit editions because they are incompatible with those systems. Both devices are compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit systems" on KB 894511, but there should be a driver by now.

Windows Update should have a driver for it. I'd plug the unit to the PC, and then I'd go to Windows Update, and let it scan for updates for your PC. See if it finds and suggests a driver to install.

For clarification it's the receiver that won't install. I tried the u-blox driver package.
