Hi all.

Mazafaka2: I will try iGo Primo and will comment here.

Thanks a lot!.

Ludorf_mad.

EDIT: Yes! Primo is the better navigation system to my iPaq 310. iGo8 is the best, unbreakable (I have it in my SD) but Primo is the most visual I try until today.

Hi all.

Another one doubt: Somebody knows how to stablish a startup screen in my iPaq 310? I have Windows CE 5 as startup OS, but the screen blanks until the start of OS. I want to put some startup screen meanwhile the OS get up. It's possible?

Thanks a lot and cheers!

P.S.- I promised I was read all the topic and can't find this information. Well, may not read at all... but a big part ;)

Have you read till end my instructions? I mentioned that after device boots-up, you must re-enter engeneering menu and update logo.

Hi all.

ablbd: Now I have the HP logo on my startup screen. Thanks a lot for your support and patience. In other order... somebody knows where can I get or how to make my own startup screens? I am trying with Photoshop, but the RAW encription don't work as same as the logos need.

Guys, really thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Ludorf_mad.

.raw is a 565 coded 16bit color depth, 800x480 resolution bmp without bitmap header, so it contains just raw data... Must take care on the reading order, as some bmp's are seted-up for reverse read, then your logo may appear rotated with 180 degrees.

So: create a bmp file having right resolution, color depth and coding, then strip (cut) the header and rename it startup.raw.

Mazafaka2: I managed to include the block erase option followed by "rebranding" but lately I was quite busy and had no time to test if works as expected.

It's the standard logo, manipulated by switching Red with Blue and the resulting image had been inverted (negative) :)

HP-Windows... whatever. The important thing is that you can produce a logo.

Hi all.

Yes ablbd, the question is that now I know how to make a startup screen for my iPaq. It's not important the brand, the system... The really important it's that my iPaq is ressurrected and working as a navigator system.

Cheers!

Hopefully yes. I tried separately the erase function and the write function, both worked fine, but I didn't tested the tool as a whole. You may do it yourself.

So, in order to write a valid "branding" data block, copy all 3 files of this package to an SD and execute 31x_brand.exe

LE: One more issue: Branding data was taken from a 310 device. In case that you want to run the original software then is compulsory to have the original 310 licenses too.
