I only have the American Jack voice. The firmware and software numbers did not change. The unit was going through the motions of a software up date. You are right. I don't know what it updated, if it even updated anything.
It's possible that the update your not seeing is one of the voice files that you have deleted. American English Jill was recently updated for example and this could be the update that myDashboard is reporting. Again, using myDashboard your never going to know for sure.
